Ron gave useful exam tips and clearly knows the road rules and driving test expectations well. There were moments where he was friendly. However, I really think he needs to work on his tone and the way he communicates with learners during mistakes. He became very angry over small mistakes, such as turning the steering wheel while the car was stationary during a 3-point turn. While I understand this is not an ideal driving technique, the reaction felt excessive and made the lesson very stressful. The constant shouting and harsh tone made it hard for me to focus while driving and affected my confidence a lot. I spent most of the lesson trying not to cry and ended up sobbing when I got home. The experience genuinely discouraged me from booking another driving lesson because I left feeling overwhelmed and disheartened. I completely understand that instructors need to correct mistakes and prioritise safety, but I believe feedback can still be given in a calm, and supportive way, especially to nervous learners. As an older student Jeremy has helped me to relax and shake off the nerves about getting behind the wheel after many years. He's a terrific teacher, patient, informative, helpful and has guided my to confidence on the road in various conditions. I've thoroughly enjoyed learning to drive again with Instructor Jeremy and this driving school.
