Great bunch of people down there. Got me enrolled easily, theory was all well explained and focused on what you needed to know. I found Adam to be very good at explaining the right amount of detail. Practical driving also was well focused and delivered. While there is a fair bit of stuff to get your head around, I found it well paced and demonstrated. Nathan got me backing the trailer in no time (and I'm a complete jube when it comes to that). Highly recommend Courtesy for anyone looking to get their licence. Shaun was the best driving instructor I've ever had, in 5 years driving trucks and buses. He didn't sign me off after 2 days, which was fair, because I wasn't ready. He set clear expectations on what I would need to improve to get over the line. Came back for an extra session on Saturday. His calm and constructive guidance has gotten me a HC roadranger ticket. Every mistake was a learning opportunity rather than a personal failure. I found him easy to talk to and I'm glad I made the trip down for my course. To be honest I wasn't totally sure about Courtesy Driving School to begin with, but day two came and I was a lot more confident with the directions from my instructor and making decisions on my own. I did the VORT test at the end and thinking all the way I've failed but the instructor Kathy was very fair with her markings and helped me enjoy the test through conversations about life experiences which took away the stressful aspect of it. I just acquired my HC license through "courtesy driving school". My instructor was Ben Underwood. He immediately put me at ease with his friendly manner and pleasant nature. For me one of the bonuses was he doesn't smoke and we could focus on driving and tuition. His firm and knowledgeable guidance was very useful in getting the best out of myself. He constantly challenged me to do better. And yet his caring attitude shone through by checking constantly if i need a break or anything refreshed.I know ALL the instructors at "Courtesy driving school" are good but I would choose Ben for my HC license instruction any time. I got my HR through this company and the guy I spoke to was John.. John was such a great block.. When I went to get it I was so nervous I wouldn't pass.. He really put my mind at ease and really helped me see the bigger picture, overall he was such a great guy, the company it self was very professional and easy going, will definitely be getting my MC through these guys! What a brilliant day I had. Courtesy driving school sent me the very best instructor, Rebecca. She was professional and knowledgeable but for me she was also friendly and made the whole day a pleasure. At 65 I know I would have had some bad driving habits and obviously many road rules have changed in the 44 years that I have been driving a car. Well throughout the day she managed to renew my skills without me feeling dumb. She taught me so well that I feel confident to drive my bus anywhere. She showed me everything in the bus that will help keep me safe and keep the bus in good working order too. It was wonderful that Rebecca came the 100kms to use my own vehicle too. Recently completed my Hc licence from car licence with Courtesy Driving School. Would recommend going with Courtesy Driving School due to their great ability to teach and friendly atmosphere throughout the 2 day course. My trainer Kamal was very knowledgeable on the subjects and made my experience relaxed and enjoyable; his ability to teach me was in a way i would remember for years to come.
