My experience with Gavin was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, he was negative and unsupportive, and it felt like he had no intention of helping me succeed—only to charge for more lessons. He didn’t even teach basic essential skills like the 3-point turn or parallel parking. He charged us for a one-hour lesson for total of $200 for using his car for the driving test for both me and my wife. Despite the cost, the quality of instruction was terrible. After my driving test, which I passed despite his lack of guidance, my wife unfortunately failed due to a yellow-light timing situation. When we returned to pay the processing fees, Gavin made an unprofessional comment to the VicRoads staff, saying he was “amazed” that I passed and claiming I wasn’t ready—even though I have been driving for 16 years. His comments were unnecessary, rude, and clearly meant to undermine us. Overall, Gavin was negative, unhelpful, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time and money. Learning to drive with Mike was a great experience he is very patient & thorough. He made me feel comfortable each lesson and answered all of my questions. I will keep recommending him especially to those with disabilities as he simplifies instructions to suit each individual’s learning capacity. Read Less
