I booked a lesson with John a few days before my test so I could get any tips to improve and learn some things I didn't know that might help during the test. The car he uses (Or at least the one I drove, a manual) tells you what gear to change to on the dashboard so you don't have to worry about gear changes as much in an unfamiliar car. John was extremely helpful while I was getting used to the car and never rushed me to do something, calmly reminded me of speed limits or rules so I didn't feel bad for making a mistake. He taught me the easy way to do a reverse parallel park for the test, much simpler than what I was doing to practise them and he was supporting me the entire way through so I could easily perform the manoeuvre. If you're just starting out or are a bit worried about driving, I highly recommend John as I have full faith that you will learn so many things in a no pressure environment and come out feeling much more confident in your driving skills and knowledge. If you're like me and are planning to go for a test and just want to make sure you're ready, polish up anything with a professionals point of view, I passed my test today and I can say John played a big part in giving me the confidence in my ability to pass, if he's happy with your driving and thinks you'll pass, I have no doubt you'll be able to pass first try as well.
