I had a great experience with Smart Ride Motorcycle Training. Simon is an excellent instructor—patient, knowledgeable, and really easy to learn from. He explains everything clearly, gives you the confidence to improve, and makes the whole experience enjoyable. His calm approach and helpful feedback made a huge difference to my riding. I highly recommend Simon and Smart Ride to anyone looking to get their motorcycle licence or improve their riding skills.

I recently used Mal from Smart Rider Motorcycle Training for a few coaching sessions before going for my R Class licence.
I already had around 20,000km of riding experience on my RE licence, so I wasn’t a new rider. What I wanted was someone who could identify any bad habits I’d developed and help me get ready for the assessment.
Mal was excellent. He’s friendly, approachable, and gives clear, practical feedback that is easy to understand and apply. He quickly picked up on a few complacency habits that had crept into my riding, particularly around road positioning at intersections and additional observation checks, and worked through them with me in a way that was comfortable and easy to follow.
What I appreciated most was that the coaching wasn’t just about passing the test. It was about becoming a better and safer rider. The sessions were relaxed, professional, and tailored to what I needed rather than a generic training program.
I passed my R Class assessment first go, and I have no doubt the coaching I received from Mal played a big part in that result.
I would happily recommend Mal and Smart Rider Motorcycle Training to anyone looking to improve their riding skills or prepare for their R Class licence. 10 out of 10 experience.

I recently completed my motorcycle training and had a great experience with Simon.
Instead of rushing, Simon took the time to break things down step by step, making sure I understood both the practical skills and the safety aspects.
Another thing I really appreciated was how Simon mixed the lessons with a bit of humor. It made the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable, and helped take the pressure off while learning.
The lessons were well-structured and focused on real-world riding, not just passing the test.
Would really recommend!

I used smart driver driving school to help get my license it was fantastic, Amber my instructor she was very nice she knew good places to help teach me park and was very relaxed about me driving which helped when being unsure on what i was doing i never felt pressured she taught me road rules that i wasn't aware of. I'm now a happy driver with my license and i truly believe that she helped me get where i am today and many of the skills she taught me i used in my driving assessment. I would highly recommend Amber to anyone trying to get there license.
