Interesting teaching methods an advanced driving school. Instructor failed to take control through the lesson it seems. While he’s a student driver, working towards a CDL they should have the base skills to maintain lanes, merge safely. Etc. student driver couldn’t figure out the yield onto the 21 without stopping and crossing over 2 lanes into the highway. After getting honked at the driver met us at a light and thought this was a good time to road rage. Pretty interesting behavior for an advanced driving school as the instructor also engaged and allowed this driver in training to rage. Sadly this seems to be the case from this company of using Fort Saskatchewan as a training ground before covering the basics.

Did my Q endorsement here. Tony is a great instructor with a lot of on road experience driving. He will take time to MAKE SURE you have the correct knowledge. Does not skip over anything. The hands on is great for people new to air brakes. Been a heavy duty mechanic for 4 years and i actually learned a few things from this course. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

A person with an anxiety issue who never took the driving test before due to an extreme anxiety from so many years, finally cleared the road test in first attempt only, because of the efforts instructor Prabhjit Mann put in. She did an amazing work. I have never seen an instructor putting this much efforts to teach you not only how to drive, but also how to drive so smoothly and safely with so many life learning tips which you can never forget. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience Prabhjit Mam.

I was expecting to give a 4 or 5 on Advanced Driving School.
My impression of the Instructor was high during the lessons and the driving exercises.
The Instructor provide solid and positive feedback during the training as well provided a cheat sheet for students to take home to review at home. As there are about 300+ points to know/check/confirm during the Petro inspection. This was very helpful.
There was very good communication with the head office for scheduling dates and information about what was needed and excellent follow up to ensure everything was going as expected.
Where I was disappointed was the final day for the scheduled Driver Examiner test on a Saturday morning. I felt that the truck used for the test should have ready to go for the me(the student) and the driver examiner prior to 0800.
The truck did have some mechanical issues from not being plugged in over night when it was -20C. I do have some mechanical aptitude for solving these issues, but doing it in front of the driver examiner was not the right place or the time. I was able to contact the Instructor about the issues and I was guided through on how to fix them.
Eventually the mechanical issues were fixed and I was able to finish up the road test with a passing mark. I do feel that all of this extra stress of completing the pre-trip inspection with a cold truck should have been eliminated by proper preparation by Advanced Driving School personnel.
The truck I used was mechanically sound throughout the lessons. It was the nicest truck I have ever driven.
When I sent my feed back about Saturday morning drivers toad test to Advanced Drivers School, they accepted responsibility and apologized for the short coming in their support to get me over the finish line as I had come to expect.
I would recommend Advanced Driving School for Class 3 with a discussion about expectation for support and preparation for Road Test day, especially on a Saturday.

Interesting teaching methods an advanced driving school. Instructor failed to take control through the lesson it seems. While he’s a student driver, working towards a CDL they should have the base skills to maintain lanes, merge safely.
