I took my class 3 course with air brakes around 2011, in Edmonton, AB. I had never drove an 18 speed before. Other then the trainer hitting on me, asking me to have drinks at his place, putting his hand on my lap as I was driving and kissing me on the lips very quickly in the front office when I passed my course.. all which was not very professional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was more happy about getting out of there then the actual passing of the course. It may have been harmless flirting from his perspective but it was unwanted and I only hope he never made another female feel like that.. As other females may not be so timid and tolerable and he could get himself into allot of trouble! He however was very patient with me and knowledgeable of his job. Offered to spend extra time with me in the evening after closing time to ensure I passed. However I declined. I paid $100 an hour for as many hours I needed to feel confident that I was able to pass the final drive. I am now a professional commercial driver and very glad I decided to pursue a driving career. The course was affordable in comparison to other companies and I would recommend Big rigs drivers education solely based on the affordability. However their prices may have changed over the years.
