I am sharing my honest experience with Bulldog Driver Training. I moved here from another province and I am brand new to Red Deer. The Negatives: Instructor Sid De Boon & Course DurationDuring my air brake training, the topic of Alberta separatism came up. I simply made a casual remark about it, and Sid De Boon responded by saying he hopes everyone from other Canadian provinces and all immigrants "get out" of Alberta. While I do not care about people's political views on separation, this comment was deeply xenophobic and racist.Beyond that specific incident, his overall behavior was unacceptable. I paid $10,000 out of my hard-earned savings for this course, and this man never showed me the basic respect that any civil human being deserves. He constantly used intimidation and always seemed angry. He frequently makes degrading comments to put students down, completely destroying their self-confidence. A good instructor should be a strong leader, but Sid De Boon is far from that. He heavily abuses his power as an instructor in a very negative way.Additionally, the school originally informed me that the course would take 4 to 6 weeks. It ended up taking 10 weeks, which was another major negative point for me.The Positives: Exceptional InstructorsI want to highlight that instructors John Umpherson, Karl, and Trevor were exemplary. They truly helped rebuild my confidence. Thank you so much to all three of you. Also, Alexa was very diplomatic and helpful.ConclusionIf it were only for Sid De Boon, this would be a 1-star review. However, thanks to the amazing support from John, Karl, Trevor, and Alexa, I am raising my final rating to 3 stars. Read Less
