I had a great experience with MTI. Huge thanks to Brian, Sherry, and Amanda for being amazing instructors. I passed my test, and their guidance helped me a lot. They were patient, supportive, and explained everything clearly, which gave me confidence. I really appreciate all their help and would highly recommend them to anyone learning to drive.

My 16 year old son took driving lessons through the new driving program in preparation for his N driving exam. He was fortunate to have three different instructors with his five lessons. Sheri, Waneta and Jacob were all awesome and provided my son with valuable information and driving practice. My son took his N exam in the MTI car, which without a doubt, helped him relax and prepare for the exam. No surprises, no cracked windshield, no alerts on dashboard - just comfort knowing he knew this car from the lessons - one less thing to worry about. I cannot thank them enough for preparing my son for this driving exam and thank you Sheri for sitting with me in the drivers licensing office while we waited for him to return and it was smiles and congratulations all around!!

Better Late Than Never…
MTI provided me with all the tools I needed to begin my trucking career in Canada. The Class 1 training I received not only kept me safe on the roads, but also helped protect every single person I shared those roads with,from the icy highways of Northern Manitoba to the deserts of Nevada, 13 years later I’m still accident-free—and thriving in a vibrant trucking career. Today, I’m proud to be teaching new drivers the very same foundational skills MTI taught me.
A huge thank you to Andy and the entire training team at MTI.
I attended MTI with eight other Jamaicans, and from day one, we were treated like family. I still remember Andy giving us his little Honda Odyssey to share for the entire month—so we could get to school and explore the town while we studied.
Today, we’re all successful drivers, owner-operators, and trucking company owners across Canada—all thanks to MTI and its incredible staff.
Words will never be enough to express how much you changed my life.

We had an excellent experience with MTI! The support for beginner drivers was outstanding from start to finish. The instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and made sure both of my children felt confident and safe behind the wheel. Our family highly recommends MTI to anyone looking to become a skilled and responsible driver. The registration was easy and straightforward. Scheduling lessons was flexible based on our availability. Thank you!

I needed to get out Air Brakes Endorsement to allow use of our Prevost RV. I was referred to MTI and I can understand why! My course consisted of 8 hours of theory and 4 hours of practical. With the theory, the instructor was Patrick who knowledge is vast, with his teaching ability being both informative yet personable. With the practical, the instructor was John (who is the owner of MTI). Not only were we shown the practical pre-trip we were shown the benefits as well as full explanation and John is again very informative yet personable. I strongly suggest that you consider using MTI as not only are the instructors top notch but the location in Castlegar allows drivers to be to be challenged with professional guidance the two mountain passes which border Castlegar.

Without the education I obtained in this school I could have never become the Red Seal Journeyman Crane operator that I am today. Of course a lot of personal drive was involved and how I got here is an eight year story, but suffice it to say the training you get from this school can be the gateway to the life of your dreams. I'm not exaggerating. I'll be going on my sixth cruise in October. This time for 24 days from Seatle to Australia. Every other cruise I did was a week or less in the Caribbean. A great spouse is integral of course but trust me you don't want to waste your time with a mediocre driving course it'll end up costing you years of wasted time trying to get to a decent paying position. I was easily funded by EI for this course and I've never had a need for EI since. A great investment on their part and mine.

MTI provided me with all the tools I needed to begin my trucking career in Canada. The Class 1 training I received not only kept me safe on the roads, but also helped protect every single person I shared those roads with,from the icy highways of Northern Manitoba to the deserts of Nevada, 13 years later I’m still accident-free—and thriving in a vibrant trucking career.
