I STRONGLY (!!!) recommend Eugen as a driving instructor to anyone who wishes to learn from scratch or improve their driving skills, especially those who are anxious about driving like myself. With no prior driving experience and only 24 hours/16 lessons with Eugen I was able to pass my first ever road test! I've been procrastinating with learning how to drive for 8 years because I was very anxious about it. Eugen was the perfect antidote for my anxiety - he is very calm, extremely patient, he never raised his voice and never even appeared agitated, annoyed or angry (and yes, I did make bad mistakes during the lessons). He was always encouraging and positive which helped me learn in a relaxed environment and build confidence. I really enjoyed our lessons and chats. I was planning to pay for at least 8 more lessons and he could have easily got more money out of me, but instead he kept encouraging me to re-schedule my road test for earlier because he was happy with my progress and was confident that I was ready. I'll probably get some extra lessons to practice night driving and highways in the future. Really good guy, amazing instructor - 6 stars from me! Read Less

Eugen is an excellent driving instructor. He is very professional and teaches you exactly what to expect for the ICBC Road Test and in real life situations. I learned a lot from him and gave very useful tips when out driving on the road. I loved how he was always willing to help or give the best solutions. He is an incredibly patient person and very experienced. We drove around New West and Burnaby a lot, which I'm extremely grateful for. Other cities I've driven in don't have what those cities have so it's a really good area to practice and do lessons. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn how to drive. Read Less

I reached out to Eugene for lessons after receiving many recommendations. It was absolutely the right thing to do. I had put off learning to drive for over 30 years and was extremely nervous. I won't lie, I felt like it was being thrown off the deep end, but Eugene was amazing at assessing my capacity to do things. It didn't feel like I was being taught how to just pass the test. I was learning what I needed to be competent above and beyond what was necessary. I passed on my first attempt and now enjoy driving, which I thought was never going to be something I would say. I really enjoyed all of my lessons with Eugen. I had a lot of anxiety with driving but was able feel much more confident and safe behind the wheel after taking lessons with him. He is always very patient, offers lots of great tips and takes time to explain things well. I had some previous driving experience and was able to pass my N on my first try after 20 hours of lessons with Eugen. Highly recommend taking lessons with him. Thank you for everything Eugen! I totally recommend taking lessons with Eugene for preparation for road tests. I had absolutely no driving experience what's so ever before taking lessons with him, but after his calm and thorough lessons, I managed to pass the class 7 road test at my first attempt. Right before the test, he planned the lessons in the area where the test takes place, so I was familiar with the signs and restrictions in the area, and confident while the test. I am glad that my friend recommended the Rite-Way. Read Less

I totally recommend Eugen if you need someone calm, but knows what he's doing. He can help you gain the skills and the confidence you need for your driver's license. I needed my N for work and i decided to go with Rite-way. I had never driven before (as a 30 year old) Amazing! The way Eugen goes about teaching and explaining lessons is something i have never come accross. I took 8 lessons over 2 months and passed my road test the first time with his instructions. He breaks down every maneuver in parts so you can understand and feel every movement of the vehicle. I recommend him to ANYONE looking for beginner or even a refresher lesson. Read Less

Eugene provided good lessons for me to pass my driving test and become a better driver. Because of the flexibility of lessons, areas where I needed improvement were focused on and needed corrections to driving styles or habits were made. In addition to explaining the how–the steps of driving actions, Eugene also explains the why–the purpose of these actions. This allowed me to practice regular driving procedures (turns, lane changes, road rules, parking, etc.) and driving in less familiar situations (like slippery roads and inclines, construction zones, etc.) I am happy to recommend this school to anyone looking to pass their driving test and becoming a more attentive and purposeful driver. Having just about been run over on my bicycle by a new driver while her instructor had his cell phone 4 inches from his face, I'm going to have to recommend that you look elsewhere for a reliable driver training experience.I was going straight on a green light on 5th St when a Rite-Way car turned left right in front of me unto 8th Ave. If I wasn't so aware and able to slam on my brakes, this story would have a very sad ending! For me. :(What kind of driver's ed would allow the instructor to be on their cell phones? Read Less
