I passed my Class 5 road test on my first attempt, and I truly couldn’t have done it without Nicholas from Excellent Driving School.
When I first started, I honestly thought I might never be able to learn how to drive confidently. However, Nicholas changed that completely. His calm teaching style, patience, and clear step-by-step guidance made a huge difference in my learning experience.
I’ve had lessons with different instructors before and appreciated them as well, but Nicholas stood out in a very unique way. He is consistently calm, composed, and in control during lessons, which helped me stay relaxed and focused. He has strong judgment, awareness, and a clear way of explaining what to watch for on the road, which really improved my perception and decision-making while driving.
What I appreciated most is how thorough and knowledgeable he is. He doesn’t just tell you what to do—he explains why, which helped everything make sense and stick.
Because of his teaching, I not only learned how to drive properly, but I also started to enjoy the process and gained real confidence behind the wheel.
I highly recommend Nicholas to anyone who is serious about learning how to drive, especially those who may feel nervous or unsure at the beginning. He is an excellent instructor who genuinely helps you succeed.

I passed my road test today on my first attempt, thanks to Nicholas' coaching over the past few months. I remember being in the car for my first lesson, too nervous to turn the car, and Nicholas helped me build confidence while ensuring that I mastered all the important driving fundamentals. Nicholas is an amazing instructor. He makes the learning so easy and makes me comfortable. I only took 2 lessons and I passed because the way he teaches. He is so patient while teaching students. He also summarizes the end of lessons so you can correct your mistakes. Phenomenal experience with Nicholus! Best instructor ever!!!!!😇

I recently passed my Class 5 road test on the very first attempt, and I owe a huge thank you to Nicholas from Excellent Driving School!
Nicholas is an incredibly patient, skilled, and knowledgeable instructor. He made me feel confident behind the wheel and always gave clear, constructive feedback that really helped me improve. His calm demeanor and step-by-step guidance took away all the nervousness I had before the test.
What I appreciated most was how he tailored each lesson to my learning style and made sure I was fully prepared not just to pass the test, but to be a safe, confident driver for life.

I highly recommend Excellent Driving School in Richmond! My instructor, Nick Tang, was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, making each lesson enjoyable and stress-free. Caroline Chan, a super nice composer, added a personal touch to the experience. Their GLP lessons for Class N learners were comprehensive and well-structured. The school's flexibility and outstanding service made scheduling easy and convenient. If you're looking for professional and supportive driving instruction, Excellent Driving School is the perfect choice!

If you are looking for an English speaking driving instructor in the Richmond area, then ask for James. James taught me everything I required to know about safe driving, he answered all my questions, and took me on some really good routes for practicing. He's really dedicated to what he's doing and hiring him is well worth your money. I passed because he taught me well. At the end of each lesson he points out what needs to be improved and points we must remember for safe driving. Hire James!!!
