Jessie is a phenomenal instructor! Thanks to her, I was able to pass my road test on my first attempt! She has an amazing personality—very friendly and approachable—while still being appropriately strict during lessons to ensure everything is learned thoroughly. Jessie is highly focused and attentive, constantly reminding you what to watch for and reinforcing key skills until they truly stick. At the end of each lesson, she provided detailed feedback on areas that needed improvement and tracked my progress on a comprehensive sheet covering all the essential components required to pass the road test. Leading up to the exam, we practiced extensively on the specific areas where I was underperforming, which made a huge difference. On the day of the test, we did an hour of practice beforehand, which helped immensely. Jessie also gave me a motivating pep talk that put me in the right mindset. Every route the examiner took me on felt familiar—I had practiced them several times with Jessie—so I was able to drive confidently. I could not have asked for a better instructor! I’m going to miss Jessie greatly. I am incredibly grateful for her thorough instruction and feel confident hitting the road with my new “N”! Thank you, Jessie—you’re the best! xoxo Read Less

I took a one hour lesson from Sam in Macdonald Driving Academy. Most of the driving schools in Vancouver ask the student come to the office to take the driving lesson. Sam, on the other hand, told me that we can meet in my address. He took me from my home with the school car and left me at the same spot after the lesson. We drove all kinds of different roads and traffic areas in Point Grey area (where I would take my driving test). He warned me about all possible mistakes I might make during the exam. But more important than that, he helped me to get comfortable about the driving experience and get over my concerns (which was my biggest problem). I was overcautious and this was resulting with more mistakes in traffic. He gave really good recommendations about the areas that I wasn't feeling secure. I passed the exam with the help of the tips he gave. Thank you very much for the great and very professional service. I highly recommend this school to anyone who needs to pass the driving test! 10/10 recommended! 🚗 I have become a much more relaxed and confident driver after taking just a few lessons with Sam. He is very patient and knows exactly what you need to work on in order to become as skilled and informed as possible. He also helped me overcome driving anxiety. I've now passed my class 5 test and really appreciate that Sam's lessons help you become a better driver overall, not just in order to pass a test. I actually enjoy driving now and am also about 1000x safer on the road. Sam is an excellent instructor who teaches you not only what you need to pass the test but also good practical tips for everyday driving. I took a bunch of lessons and also got the road test package (which I passed!). Booking is easy. He responds promptly and he's flexible with scheduling. The lessons themselves aren't cookie cutter templates, which I appreciate. They depend on what you want from the lessons and what he thinks you need to work on. Wonderful experience! The instructor allows his students to become safe and confident defensive drivers with the use of creative ways of teaching such as drawing certain driving situations on a white board during the lessons! He had all the routes planned and explained them in a clear and calm manner which made me feel more relaxed and confident, he also will adjust the route at any students wish to make them more comfortable. I highly recommend using his driving academy as it has dramatically improved my ability, and the anxiety I used to feel towards driving. He taught me not only how to properly maneuver the vehicle, but he taught me his tips on figuring out speed limits, parallel parking techniques and much more! Very pleasant experience. Loved my driving teacher ( Samer ) , he was always very relaxed and educated. One thing that really benefited me was how he would draw out different situations on a whiteboard during my lessons to further explain and make sure I understood what he was saying. Also, he has every lesson planned out, but is always prepared to accommodate the wishes of his students. Would highly recommend , especially if you're an anxious driver, he is really good and calming you down and helping you learn in the most comfortable environment possible. Read Less
