Don’t be fooled by the “fraud” reviews, just competitors with fake accounts trying to bring down the Google rating for this business. I visited the website, paid $115 deposit for my son. I then received an email in the week before the “in class” was to start to pay the balance, which I did, and then my son received an email with the details required to attend the virtual in class sessions. All went as explained. Thanks SmartDriverTraining. It really couldn’t have been easier.

Paul is an excellent teacher I done his driving school a few years ago and from the start he knew I was a little nervous and he talked me through it all to help me, he was very patient and professional he never got mad with me, he’s is the reason today that I am able to take my car and drive wherever without gripping the steering wheel to tight because I am nervous I am able to sit in my seat and feel nothing but absolute joy knowing that because of him I can drive wherever without having to worry about anything. I HIGHLY recommend taking his class!

EDIT (Feb/26): Changed this review from 1 to 4 stars. After filing the cc dispute, Paul took ownership of the oversight being a mistake, and reimbursed me for the inconvenience. Though I'm not taking lessons with this driving school, I can confirm the business is real. As Paul was very quick and attentive to address the issue after the dispute, but I didn't receive the services, I've changed this from a 1 to 4 star review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW (Jan/26): Scam! Please DO NOT pay this company for driving classes. Paul reached out to me after I paid the deposit to get my driving details, including a photo of my learner's permit. He then said he would reach out the week leading up to the course with more details (I assume with more info on completing payment, etc.). But he did not. Then, by the day the course was to start, I still didn't have any details whatsoever to pay fully and get the course link. They also didn't respond to any follow ups or respond to calls, so I ended up disputing the deposit charge with my credit card company. Incredibly annoying overall to deal with these folks. If nothing else, they are awful communicators and that counts for a lot in business. Really hope others read this so that they're not taken advantage of.

I had a very distressing experience at Smart Drivers Driving School. I attended the school in summer 2024. This was my first time ever holding a steering wheel, and instead of being guided patiently, the mentor/founder repeatedly shouted at me during lessons. I left several classes feeling anxious and traumatized rather than confident.
When I made mistakes (which are expected for beginners), I was told that I “did not focus on the theory classes in the first phase,” instead of being taught how to improve. The course seems poorly designed for true beginners, especially for students who do not have access to practice outside class hours.
This school may work for learners who already have basic driving experience, but I would not recommend it to first-time drivers. The attitude was demeaning, and at times felt racist and discriminatory, which made the environment even more uncomfortable.
Ultimately, I had to switch to another instructor elsewhere in order to pass my license exam. I wish I had done that sooner.

Though I'm not taking lessons with this driving school, I can confirm the business is real. I had a very distressing experience at Smart Drivers Driving School. I attended the school in summer 2024. This was my first time ever holding a steering wheel, and instead of being guided patiently, the mentor/founder repeatedly shouted at me during lessons.
