No stars if I could. I could post the back and forth (evidence) but all the 1 star reviews sound so similar to my situation. I used my hard earned money to pay for the lessons and he never refunded me the amount I was owed after he said he would. My advice is to never pay up front. He is not trustworthy. He deliberately sabotaged and demoralized me every session. He also said he records everything, so watch out for this as he never mentioned it to me and I never saw any proof of that in his car. He was extremely afraid I would damage his car even if I used the steering wheel in slightly the wrong way, was a micro-manager, told me repeatedly I would fail the test and for every minor "mistake" he would become extremely critical. If my response wasn't what he wanted - he thinks I didn't respect him, even if I asked for clarity. He would get extremely passive-aggressive/aggressive - he ended my lessons mid-way because of this(asking for clarity), by the way, and this is why he won't refund me. After that last lesson that he stopped mid-way, he threatened me and said I was the aggressor (gaslighting, manipulation) - when I asked for a refund since he stopped the lesson out of nowhere. He also stopped the rest of the lessons I was owed and said it was my fault. He physically grabbed my wrists one time on the steering wheel and it hurt so terribly that they were sore until the next day (I have chronic pain, but I didn't expect him to hurt me). He was very intimidating and was an awful instructor. My confidence was damaged and I dealt with psychological trauma because of him. I thought I couldn't drive. After this guy, I had a female instructor and she told me to take the G2 test because I knew how to drive already. I didn't take many lessons with her, and passed the G2 test with flying colours. After the traumatic ordeal with Dean there were a ton of 5 star reviews on his website, which I highly doubted were true. I reported his business for fraud, aside from the extremely toxic, rude behaviours I encountered. There are further reviews on reddit that report the same type of behaviours from Dean. These harmful business practices must be stopped. He shouldn't be allowed to continue with his business by stealing money from his clients and causing psychological harm. Read Less
