I had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Surinder during my driving lessons. Instead of creating a calm and professional learning environment, he repeatedly shouted at me, which made it difficult to focus and learn safely.
What was even more unacceptable was that he made personal comments that had nothing to do with driving. On top of that, he used racist language, which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for any instructor. No student should ever have to experience that while trying to learn.
I seriously considered calling 911 because of how threatened and uncomfortable I felt, but I chose not to because of his age. Looking back, I believe his behavior was completely unacceptable and should be addressed to prevent other students from going through the same experience.
I would not recommend this school to anyone looking for a respectful, professional, or supportive driving instructor.

Thank you to Above the Best Driving School for teaching me both in class and on the road with confidence. I had an excellent experience learning with Mr. Muruga. He is calm, patient, and highly professional in his teaching approach. Whenever I made mistakes, he clearly explained how to correct them and helped me improve quickly. He also took us to the test centre and walked us through what to expect from the examiner during the G2 exam, which really boosted my confidence and helped me pass the G2 on my first attempt. I would highly recommend Mr. Muruga to anyone looking to learn how to drive.

Above the best driving school is not a huge business like DTSM and other driving schools, this school has reasonable prices and awesome teaching. We were about 8 people in our class vs 30 people which meant it was easier to understand. Muttu is the one teacher for in class sessions so you are sure to have an awesome teacher. He always found a way to make things more interesting and seemed like he wanted to be there with us. He is a very intelligent person who used to be an engineer. He also does the in-car sessions along with one other teacher, although i chose to do it with muttu. What i really liked and found to be different was from what i heard from my sister who went to Ottawa Driving school is that Muttu knew everything but he didn't expect you to know the answer to everything, because you're there to learn and he would never raise his voice at you for not knowing and was very patient and this goes for both in-car and in-class. For the in-car sessions he assured that we could pass the test by marking us as if we were doing our test but twice as hard. For example, if i would lose 1 mark on the exam he would take off 2 marks, but this did not actually count. I passed my exam and got my G2 first try with almost a perfect score. Couldn't have done it without Muttu.
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS DRIVING SCHOOL TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS THE BEST TEACHER WHO ACTUALLY CARES AND WILL ASSURE YOU PASS.

It was a great experience! I learned a lot in theory classes. Muttu sir possesses vast knowledge on the topics. His instructions during in-car lessons made me drive confidently and I passed the road test in the first attempt. To summarize I would say, it is really 'Above the Best'. Thank you! I would definitely recommend him to my friends.

I had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Surinder during my driving lessons. Instead of creating a calm and professional learning environment, he repeatedly shouted at me, which made it difficult to focus and learn safely.
What was even more unacceptable was that he made personal comments that had nothing to do with driving. On top of that, he used racist language, which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional for any instructor. No student should ever have to experience that while trying to learn.

Above the best driving school is not a huge business like DTSM and other driving schools, this school has reasonable prices and awesome teaching. We were about 8 people in our class vs 30 people which meant it was easier to understand. Muttu is the one teacher for in class sessions so you are sure to have an awesome teacher. He always found a way to make things more interesting and seemed like he wanted to be there with us. He is a very intelligent person who used to be an engineer. It was a great experience! I learned a lot in theory classes. Muttu sir possesses vast knowledge on the topics. His instructions during in-car lessons made me drive confidently and I passed the road test in the first attempt. To summarize I would say, it is really 'Above the Best'. Thank you!
