A little disappointed to learn that my daughter-in-law was scammed for $50 by Universal Driving (Bank St. location). Seems she requested to have a driving lesson with them, paid them in advance, the instructor fumbled the scheduling of the lesson, and then was totally non-responsive with my DIL to reschedule. It wasn't until she posted a negative review that the instructor decided to get in touch with her, and demanded she retract her negative review before he would give her her money back. How about just do the right thing, which is to say, be responsive to rebook the appt (ie, answer the phone), or just give the money back if you're not interesting in delivering the lesson? If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I scheduled a driving lesson and my assigned instructor - Hess said he would meet me the next day. Then 5 min. Later he said he sent the wrong text and that the lesson would be in 2 weeks. So I reluctantly agreed. The next day at 1pm he texts me saying he's outside. I wasn't at home and I was looking after my 1 year old son at the time so I couldn't meet him. I told him so and I was annoyed. I guess he didn't like my tone and told me to call the office to get another instructor. I kept trying to call the office and kept getting the voice mail. The first time I called they picked up right away and seemed to have some kind of receptionist. In fact they told me I had to pay over the phone, which I did. Now it's been 2 weeks and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone and no one's contacted me about a refund. I've called over and over again and will probably never get my money back. Just a word of advice - don't pay over the phone and go with a different company who actually knows how to schedule an appointment. How can you trust someone to instruct you on driving if they can't even communicate the time and date of an appointment clearly. 2 thumbs way down... Read Less
