Don't go the Service Ontario at Bank St. We didn't have an appointment. We walked in at 3 pm on a Wednesday in July and were turned away because they were at capacity and would not be able to serve any more people before closing time.
The waiting area was extremely crowded and hot. Everyone looked hot and grim. The building didn't appear to have air conditioning. I saw fans running behind the partitions for the staff. People waiting for service were milling around the entrance outside, to get away from the crowding and the heat inside.
We drove to the Service Ontario at City Hall, instead, who were still cheerfully accepting walk-ins. We found free 1 hour parking a few blocks away. The building was air conditioned. The waiting area was not crowded. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The whole experience was way more civilised and pleasant at City Hall. Go to the Service Ontario at City Hall and just avoid the grim overcrowding at Bank St.

I've came to this place several times. Once it was a positive experience. I came here last night around 513pm as I needed my car registrations address changed. So I could get a parking permit etc. when I tried to get a ticket it said there wouldn't be enough time to help. Of course this is frustrating as it's about a 10 second procedure and there wasn't all that many people inside. I got mad and left and drove to the one by Ogilvie. It is also open until 7pm. I walked in at 540pm and walked out at 545pm. It took them 10 seconds to change the registration. I thanked her greatly and got to leave. I understand there's a "lineup" but what does this say to the hard working folks who are only able to go after 5? Why can't this be done online and just emailed or mailed out?

We went to this place 4 times to renew the health card. Each time they told us to bring a ID. We went back home to picked up ID. We went to there again. They told us they need an onether one. Why they can't tell us all of document they need at first time. Their attitude was very bad. I really doubted these public servants's professional skills are good enough to serve all canadian. We payed a lot of tax to support them. But we didn't get a fair service. Should we need to spent extra time and gasoline to get this normal service? I believe my case isn't a unique case. I don't think all of the taxpayers like this kind of service. especially we already live in a very costly country.

Horrible service, they were open until 19h00 on Thursday, I was there around 04:55, the ticket distributor was off and the tickets offered did not show on the screen. a family of 6 came around 6:00 after all of us and was assisted! (someone give them their ticket) around 18h40 when three of us were left, the workers there started shouting that they will not be serving anyone. we tried to talk to them saying that we have been there forever and they said come back tomorrow! most of us work from 08:00 to 04:30 and that was the only day we can get our service done! they were so aggressive, asking us to leave to close the door! I understand the pressure of working the whole day and serving so many people but for people who are not working they can be served and assisted in the morning, leave some room for workers and students. Also, kindness is free so shouting at people and wasting their time plus the mess out there needs to be taken into consideration.

Busy. I had an appointment and was served 20 minutes after the initial time. Was a little lost going in though, it was not clear to me that I had to get a little paper slip. I had a bit of an issue finding a spot to sit down when I walked in as it was packed. Service was great, though. I was renewing my health card and it only took 5 minutes tops.

Was in and out on a Saturday within 25 minutes. Honestly, the fastest I have ever been served at a Service Ontario. Counter staff was very pleasant to deal with.

Don't left the impatient and ignorant individuals bring you down you job is hard work and most wouldn't last a week in you shoes!

Don't go the Service Ontario at Bank St. We didn't have an appointment. We walked in at 3 pm on a Wednesday in July and were turned away because they were at capacity and would not be able to serve any more people before closing time.
The waiting area was extremely crowded and hot. Everyone looked hot and grim. The building didn't appear to have air conditioning. I saw fans running behind the partitions for the staff. People waiting for service were milling around the entrance outside, to get away from the crowding and the heat inside.
We drove to the Service Ontario at City Hall, instead, who were still cheerfully accepting walk-ins. We found free 1 hour parking a few blocks away. The building was air conditioned. The waiting area was not crowded. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The whole experience was way more civilised and pleasant at City Hall. Go to the Service Ontario at City Hall and just avoid the grim overcrowding at Bank St.

I've came to this place several times. Once it was a positive experience. I came here last night around 513pm as I needed my car registrations address changed. Horrible service, they were open until 19h00 on Thursday, I was there around 04:55, the ticket distributor was off and the tickets offered did not show on the screen. a family of 6 came around 6:00 after all of us and was assisted! Busy. I had an appointment and was served 20 minutes after the initial time. Was a little lost going in though, it was not clear to me that I had to get a little paper slip.
