Took my G Test at Simcoe location, and after 20 minutes on one of the Simcoe routes tested on - I passed my first take on G test. The driving examiner (“C.”) was friendly, direct, and professional, and easy to engage with. He provided easy instructions to understand, and was pleasant to drive with so everything was straight forward. The front desk staff here were super friendly, go above & beyond, professional and had a sense of humour too - having had to rebook a G Test from two weeks ago when they closed all tests during a snow storm, but they were super supportive and helpful to rebook for me a new test on next available date. Only improvement I would reco - the DRIVETEST system they have to notify when tests are cancelled (said to send generated emails) needs updating as I didn’t receive any notice or others that day, however you can’t always determine the weather and whether the examiners will cancel or not, just unfortunate when you’re taking a day off/ paying tolls $ on highway and driving a distance through a snow storm only to find out it’s cancelled due to a snow storm then have to safely drive back in the snow storm. The generated cancellation emails are said to be sent 30 minutes before the scheduled test, but you’re suppose to be at the centre 30 minutes before you test = not ideal system … Other than that one reco on the system, all the staff are friendly, super professional and the facilitates are clean and well maintained. Took both my G2 and G road tests here. The examiners are fair, but strict. If you are prepared and understand what you will be tested on, in my experience you will pass. The only complaint of mine is that I was scheduled to be tested for my G license at 11:50 AM and the examiner arrived 10-15 minutes later, which can be a bit nerve wracking at times. Overall good DriveTest center, just come properly prepared, don't overthink things, and you will be alright. Read Less

I previously had gone to the Hamilton location and found their service was poor, the place was busy, examiners were rude, and the facility worn down. I was very surprised to come to this place after reading it's reviews to find that the service was friendly, it wasn't too busy, and the examiner Stan should be an example to all driving examiners as to how a driving examiner should be: friendly, patient, reasonable, and not completely lost his mind. I would recommend going to this place if you've had a previous poor experience with any of the other DriveTest centers. Read Less

Terrible place. Lady fails everyone. More cash for them! Go to tillsonburg. We are now on our way back (from out of town) as she didnt even tell us we had to go back into building to get paperwork! I only had a week left before my g2 License expired and the only place I could book was at this location , I was extremely nervous as I've never drove in that area before . Stan conducted my g test and was absolutely amazing , was very patient with me and let me know ahead of time what he expected . For anyone nervous about taking their g test I highly recommend this location as all the staff was very friendly and helpful . Read Less

Booking a drive test for a family member, was told by the girl at the desk that we could change the test (booked for December) once the January test dates open up on the system. When went there to rebook, the same female stated rebooking is not possible. Wasted $50 of my money. If that young woman ever loses her job, her poor and rude customer service skills will necessitate her working on a factory line or as a janitor - that is where her "career" will be headed, as she has no skills in customer service. Worst driving test experience I have ever endured. The proctors don't pay attention to your driving, are unpleasant and generally rude. Avoid taking any test here if you want to avoid being evaluated by shadey unprofessionals. Read Less

I have so many questions about how this place is run. First of all, how many people need to be in the building for them to open another wicket? I mean really? One wicket for driver tests and appointments and one for everyone else. There are 18 seats in here all full, 11 people standing and 2 sitting on the floor, plus 10 in the driving test line. And 2 people being served, TWO! It's nice the a couple of time this place got five star reviews because it shows that the people who work here or there loved ones care very deeply about them, and that's very sweet. But in reality if they opened more wickets they would get yelled at less and wouldn't dread coming to work. This is what government privatization has gotten is here! Poor service, a private company making money, providing poor service. I've been here an hour and I've seeen 4 people serviced, 45 are in the building. The 5 star ratings look like BS to me. What ever you do DO NOT TAKE YOUR G2 AT THIS LOCATION! The examiner comes with you during the test is certifiable crazy. Everyone I know including myself have horrific experience as she yells in salts at you, curses on everything you do as if your some sort of stunt driver. To top it all off the have no sense of what the actual law is and when you dare to defy them and show them the law in the book. They ban you from retaking your test at that location for being a hazard to them and other people. Do whatever you have to to not use this location even if you have to drive to Brantford or something. If I could rate -5 stars I most definitely would. Read Less
