I had an extremely disappointing experience at DriveTest. The examiner was rude, dismissive, and showed very little compassion throughout the entire test. I felt uncomfortable from the moment we started. What frustrates me most is that I was failed for something I genuinely believed was the correct and legal use of my right of way. When I asked for clarification, I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated experience for my family. The same examiner failed my brother nine years ago in a situation where we still believe he did nothing wrong. A close friend of mine was also failed by her, and from what I heard, she had already failed six people earlier that same day. After my experience, I looked through reviews and found many others describing similar encounters involving rudeness, unfair treatment, and unprofessional behavior. Some reviewers have even alleged discriminatory treatment and inappropriate comments, which is concerning to see repeated by multiple people. I understand that not everyone can pass a road test, and safety standards are important. However, examiners should be professional, respectful, and consistent. Unfortunately, my experience felt unfair, discouraging, and far from the level of professionalism I expected. I would strongly recommend that DriveTest review complaints regarding this examiner and ensure that all candidates are treated with respect and evaluated fairly. Read Less

I may have been lucky to have Stephanie as my examiner for my full G. She was fair throughout the whole test and pointed out my mistakes with professionalism. Thank you again.

If you want to lose your life, you can take a test here. My examiner is 903. Update: I went back and passed my G2 test in London, the sheet shows that I have 0 errors on traffic checking. While at this place, they ticked off almost all of the traffic checks. I took a G test today. The examiner didn't tell me his name. I asked him if I should put my permit in the back seat, but he didn't respond. He seemed very upset. He ticked almost every "no traffic check" and "no left and right" on the sheet. In fact, I checked carefully every 3-5 seconds and even told him that there was no car/truck, and then turned. He just looked at his tablet. He also asked me to do something dangerous. He let me switch right to a lane that was closing (merging left), at 80km/h. I told him that there was no road, and he kept silent. I need to switch left in seconds, before I drive out of the road and kill myself. Additionally, he asked me why I hadn't turned left. There was a car coming towards me, and it was obvious that the examiner was not supervising carefully. If I had listened to him, I would have hit the car. He also yelled at me to let me merge into the right lane, instead of telling me to make a right turn at the intersection. I thought I should go straight (right crossing rule), but we should go right. I really wanna ask that IF I DO NOT OBSERVE ANYTHING, HOW COULD WE SURVIVE THE TEST? I can't fix my sight straight without knocking something! Edit: I checked the sheet. The examiner ticked that I didn't check the blind spot when I exited the expressway. There's no exit lane, and I only need to slow down to 60. How should I turn my head back when I go straight without turning? Read Less

They only accept cash payment for drive test books even though the front doot lists credit, and interact as possible payment options. My father waited in line for an hour to purchase books only to be told to go to Canadian tire. Drive test should pay the fees and accept these methods of payment or at least display this on the door so patrons know. There were no apologies for the wait. As a heads up for anyone buying drive test books go to Canadian tire where all forms of payment are accepted and you get Canadian tire money back. Read Less

Tips for anyone to take the test in Tillsonburg: 1 - Attention in speed, the examiners are extremely rigid, even on the road. Keep the car at 80 km. Keep the speed of 40 km in school and hospital. Be careful with the signs, because it is often 50km, soon it changes to 60km and then back to 50km. 2- Make the spot check in all the turns, right or left, change of line, parallel parking, emergency stop and three point turn. 3- Always look at the three mirrors, every 10 seconds. 4. Never make any moves that might scare the examiner. Even if you have experience do all the commands very slowly. Take your time! 5- Whenever you need to turn back the car, look back, turn the body. 6- Do not forget to turn the warning signal on the Emrgency stop, park the car and hold the hand brake. 6- I made the parallel parking between two cars, if you have difficulties train before, because he can ask to be done so. 7 - do not do anything illegal. 8- mistakes all commit, I committed and I passed, because we are not perfect, but never an illegal mistake, such as overtaking red signal, not driving at the speed determined by road or street. My examiner was very professional and objective. Make a prayer before you begin, God will help you stay calm. Read Less

Glad I drove to Tillsonburg!!! The staff was extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. Very busy little place and based on the high level of customer service witnessed, I can see why. As a walk in, allow sufficient time for the ladies to deal with scheduled road tests, etc. The lady looking after numerous road tests was smiling each time I saw her pass through to her next appointment. I did my CVOR and upgraded my truck license same day. I was pleased to see how efficiently everything was handled. Highly recommended !!! Read Less
