Just passed my G Test this morning! My driving instructor was Sailesh, and I would highly recommend him. I was given another instructor in the beginning, who helped me pass my G2, but I didn't like her teaching style because I felt like she abused her power, and yelled instead of taking the time to find the right words to explain things to me. So, this time, I read the reviews, and advocated for Sailesh to be my instructor, and I am so glad I did. He helped me to feel confident, and made sure I practiced each skill many times until I improved. My sessions with him not only improved my driving knowledge to pass the test, but more importantly, to be a safe driver when I drive on my own. I was so calm and confident during my test because I remembered everything Sailesh covered during our sessions, and I am forever greatful for that! Before meeting him, I avoided getting lessons to drive on the highway because I was too scared, and was tired of meeting instructors who had driving knowledge but lacked the skills to teach it. My driving instructor is Sailesh. He is a good instructor because he takes a lot of time out of his own days to teach people how to drive. Not only does he teach people what they need to know for their G2 test but, he tries to go beyond that by preparing us for the highway even though G2 tests do not require it. I had a very bad experience that my in car instructor changed 3 or 4 times during one day without explaining call or messaging me to let me know. More over, the manager had no idea to help with this situation and the front staffs think this is normal and "small things" that happens everyday in this school! Don't consider this school unless you want yourself to deal with the situation like my experience or put yourself or your sons or daughters to the " instructor" and manager staffs who don't think it important to keep the school reputation related with safe, reliable and professional. This is an honest review of my experience with AMB driving school. So far my experience with this company has been poor and I would NOT recommend it to anyone else because, though the theory portion is great, to really learn how to drive a car you have to actually get IN a car. I attended the school on Nugget Avenue for a 4-day course mid-July 2017.… The in-class portion was good. However, I have spent the last MONTH texting/calling my driving instructor, the in class supervisor, and the manager trying to book my in-car portion of the course. No luck so far. For this reason, I have given the school a 1* rating. I have contacted (so far): -The driving instructor Nasim (no response) -the in-class instructor Saqib (referred to the manager) -the office ("we'll get back to you" ) -the manager (in progress) Note: If anything changes in these circumstances I will adjust this review based on the in-car experience. It’ll likely be similar to the in-class review below. Hopefully, that time comes soon. In-class As I said before, the in-class is great. Instructor: My instructor’s name was Saqib. He’s very approachable and willing to answer any questions you may have. He provides ample time for breaks so you can stretch your legs and refresh your brain. He also tries to make the class content fun to learn by using jokes, in class games, and real-life scenarios. The class: You sit at a desk in a classroom like setting. The instructor flips through PowerPoint slides. The slides are very easy to understand and are sometimes interactive. At points, there are also videos to better illustrate what you're learning. Also, there are 2 quizzes per day that help ensure your paying attention in class. According to the instructor, no cell phones are allowed at any time (other than break) or you may be asked to leave. We were warned of this on the first day of class and everyone listened. Very good experience, class was in depth and informative. I taught you about a large variety of driving issues and scenario you might face both during your driving test and as a driver in general.
