Just for the heads up, it will be a long review... I had experience driving in my home country (8 years in Mexico), so after passing the written test, I received my G1. Because of my experience,I was eligible to get the G license. However, I was only allowed one attempt, if I failed, I would have had to take the road test for the G2 instead. I booked my road test appointment and then I decided to take driving lessons for the Road Test with 101Driving School, and Joseph was assigned as my instructor. He is a very nice guy. We only had one week for lessons before my test, but he understood my situation, made room in his schedule and helped me out. I will be honest, he was very strict while I was driving. He gave a lot a lot of corrections and instructions during the lessons but it worked, after 4-5 lessons I was doing things better. There were still adjustments to be made but he was very committed to helping me succeed. Today, I understand why he was so strict, I took my road test and I got my G license, all the hard work paid off. I totally recommend taking lessons with Joseph, don't take his strictness personally; you will understand why it was necessary once you pass your test. Read Less

Joseph is one of the most amazing person I have ever met! He is incredibly friendly and a wonderful driving instructor. Would 100% recommended him. That was a very great experience. I managed to pass my G2 road test from the first effort. I have been given all the required knowledge, a lot of practice on different road types; cleaned up from my old bad behaviors. Can say anything but excellent school with a great approach that worked out for me like a charm. My instructor was a very nice guy, flexible to accommodate my availability time ranges. This was honestly the best experience when it comes to driving or learning to drive. I am (or should I say WAS) a nervous driver to begin with, and my instructor, Joseph, was able to understand that, embrace it and then get rid of the fear real quick. With his professional and friendly approach he helped me gain the confidence to not only actually drive without overthinking everything, but pass my test with ONLY 2 mistakes! They were so minor the examiner was impressed with my driving and skill, and surprised this was my first attempt. The fact that we only had about a month and a half for me to learn and execute driving and I did so well just shows what a good teacher can do. I just want to say thank you for being patient, understanding, and encouraging. I also want to thank you for the times you needed to correct me and be stern to "drive" the point home. I would like to convey thanks to 101 Driving School. As a senior, I had to do the road test and was fortunate to have you as my Instructor in preparation for this. I am proud to say that I passed the test. Because of your training, I was able to change most of my old driving habits. I am now a better driver, my confidence has increased, feel more comfortable and happy behind the wheel. Your sense of humor helped me to relax and focus better, inspired me to believe in myself. I have completed my G2 driving course in order to prepare for G2 test. I was lucky to deal with Joseph, who listened to me and accurately identified my level of driving skill after just one driving session. The program was quickly adjusted and I was able to finish it even faster than usual with passing the exam too! Highly recommend this school to anybody as lectures are funny (so you don’t fall asleep) and comments are always in place to make you learn faster. Thank you guys! Read Less

I wanted a refresher so I could get my G, I knew I picked up bad habits after a few years of driving with my G2. I wanted a good instructor, I’ve had a few that just wouldn’t give me their full attention, they were too busy checking texts or on the phone. So I researched and read several reviews and I was convinced that Driving 101 was the place I needed to call. Joseph immediately responded and even though I didn’t have much time until my test date he squeezed me in and we booked some sessions. On the first day of our sessions I learned so much! I knew that he is an instructor that truly cares about the student’s success. He critiqued everything and I needed that, he explained even the simplest road rules that somehow my other instructors never mentioned. I not only knew what I had to do for the test but he would explain why it was important. He is professional and puts you at ease when driving. The day of the G test he was not only my instructor but he was like a good friend that would give you a boost of encouragement when you really need it. Great school! I've been to a couple of them over the years, so I have a bit more of an informed opinion on this. I will be honest this place contrasted to the other place I went to drastically! The classes themselves weren't too boring; the instructors are laid back, but still put the necessary pressure on you to ensure you learn and succeed. Joseph is a great teacher- he's knowledgeable, funny, and makes you feel comfortable in the car. Very important. Last thing you want, is to be stressed while driving. The BDE course offered was a great introductory course to driving. Joseph, my instructor, was very patient with me during the in-car sessions, especially since I knew nothing about driving prior to this experience. In fact, I still hear his comments and reminders every time I practice to drive. Due to financial and time constraints, I am unable to continue my lessons after the BDE course, but will highly recommend this course to any new beginner like me. Read Less

He always yelled at me for making mistakes. I have a Cochlear Implant myself. I didn't need that additional stress.
