I passed my G2 test at Downsview on May 29th, and I want to thank Stanisa for all of his help and support throughout the process. Stanisa is a patient, knowledgeable, and positive instructor who helped me become much more confident behind the wheel. One thing I really appreciated was how he had me repeat certain skills over and over until I felt comfortable doing them completely on my own. His teaching style helped build both my driving skills and my confidence. On my final full lesson before the test, I felt like I was backtracking because I made a few mistakes that would have been automatic fails during the road test. Since I had failed the g2 before due to anxiety and nerves, I started panicking and doubting myself. However, Stanisa remained positive and encouraging the entire time. He reminded me that I was a good driver, that I was capable of passing, and that I just needed to stay calm, stay focused, and not overthink things. I’m not a big talker, but every once in a while he would start a conversation, which helped make the lessons feel more relaxed and less stressful. He also consistently arrived a little early for every lesson, which I always appreciated. Overall, Stanisa is a fantastic instructor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for driving lessons. Great overall experience! Stanisa is a firm but fair instructor (with a pretty damn good sense of humour, too). After only four in car lessons, he was able to break the bad habits I'd developed over (many) years of driving with my G2 license, and I passed my G test on the first try. I am very happy I chose this driving school and would recommend it to anyone. The administration is really efficient and Olga is super quick to respond to emails. I expected the in-class portion to be extremely dull, but Stanisa is funny and engaging and it flew by. He's a comfortable person to be around and the one-on-one in car lessons are fun and relaxed while being informative. His instruction is clear and helpful. I passed my road test on the first try. Stanisa is such an excellent instructor — I will recommend him to everyone I know. He was patient, knowledgeable and instilled the confidence that I needed to drive in the city. All of my lessons were private — I did not have to drive anyone home, which really allowed me to get the most out of each one hour lesson. It was also incredibly easy to book lessons by email. I don't have enough good things to say about my experience driving with Stanisa! I decided to try getting my G2 again after lessons elsewhere and two fails followed by ten years of zero driving. I was super nervous and he was laid back and calm, he has exactly the personality that a driving instructor should have and was able to explain things to me that no one had ever bothered to teach me before. I did 7 or 8 in car lessons and then passed my G1 exit with only four errors. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional and the in-car lessons were very reasonably priced - I could not recommend this school more. Read Less

When I was 56, my new year’s resolution was to learn how to drive – again! I had driven for a few years as a teenager (learner’s permit), but never got around to actually getting my licence. I initially picked Triumph because of its proximity to where I live (along with the great reviews), but I quickly realized once the classes started that my choice was perfect for me. I enjoyed the Saturday classes with Stanisa, who really is a solid instructor – he combines his vast knowledge with the right amount of humour! I had my driving lessons with Sead, usually during rush hour in the Jane/Dundas area, and his soft-spoken manner, patience and knowledge were a perfect fit for me. His instructions for parallel parking are right on! And no review of Triumph would be complete without mentioning Olga – always courteous and pleasant and very quick to respond to my emails. I have to say that Triumph Academy of Defensive Driving is the “complete package” for young and “older” alike when it comes to learning how to be properly prepared to get behind the wheel! Decided to write a review for future students looking for a place.I was a bit hesitant to enrol with this school due to the lack of reviews on yelp or anything for that matter. They didn't even have a Facebook page (shocking isn't it?!).Well long story short. I'm very glad I enrolled here. For $372ish you get 20 hours of in class lessons (4 classes from 9am to 2pm), 10 hours of homework (which is a book they give you and you do the activities at home (literally took me 2 hours of actual homework, the rest was done in class with the instructor) and 10 hours in the car. They also offer weekends too, it just depends when they are holding sessions. Now i really cherish my sleep so waking up at 7am to go to a 9am class was brutal for me. But Stanisa which i'm not sure if he's the owner or instructor, maybe both, was funny and you actually pay attention. The first class was the basics and review of stuff u study for your g1, and then talks about signs, rules, regulations, federal/municipal signs etc. Class 2 was focused on driving/parking in the city and safety. Class 3 was more on highway driving and highway signs. Class 4 was based on how to buy a car, things to look for, how to change your tire, what different things in the car mean, drinking and driving, blood alcohol level, etc.Also classroom holds about 20-30 students, 90% teenagers, but a few odd ones like myself whom delayed getting their G2. :$The in-car sessions were very good, Stanisa has pretty fast braking reflex.. haha, and explains things very thoroughly. I'm planning on doing 1 hour with him for my G as a refresher. Read Less
