I would give -5 stars, if available. It took quite a lot of thought for me to write this review, as I am not a proponent in giving poor ratings to a local business. However, this company and specifically the owner (older man) should NOT be teaching young adults anything- definitely not driving. when speaking to the receptionist (Ruby), we explained our child lost her brother to a car crash, caused by a drunk driver. My husband was clear that we wanted someone with the ability to teach, with clear instructions and without creating a more stressful situation. With that in mind, Ruby scheduled our daughter to drive with the owner, at the Tecumseh location. During the lesson the older man continually grabbed our daughter’s hand, and yelled at her- creating an extreamly stressful situation. She asked him repeatedly not to touch her and to stop raising his voice, of which he did not. When confronting the owner regarding his unprofessional behavior and specifically the grabbing of our daughter’s hand, he stated, “this is how I self correct.” When my husband asked him if he thought using a normal tone voice when teaching a young adult to drive would be more beneficial, as well as if needing to “self correct“ to grab the steering wheel instead of a person, the owner shrugged and said to my husband, “no, that’s how I do it“. Every driving lesson with Tibi was enjoyable and educational, as he always told me where I went wrong and what to do to fix it. I passed my G2 on the first try no problem, and I've been driving safely and confidently since. Would strongly recommend for other new drivers! Read Less

I had a great experience at Excel Driving School! Tibi is a great and knowledgeable instructor who helped me to develop my skills as a driver and become prepared for my test. Rodica is also amazing as she was very helpful and made herself available to answer any questions that I had and to book appointments. I would definitely recommend this driving school to anyone! I learned a lot during both in the class and in the car. Excel is an excellent driving school and was a great choice for driver’s ed. If I had to do driver’s ed again I would, without a doubt pick Excel again. Read Less

The experience was great. I enjoyed the classes and the in cars. I just recently finished up my last one and it really does help! My driver instructor was Tibi, and he was great. He took me to places where you wouldn't normally be on everyday to cover important situations if you ever encounter them. Overall, 5/5. Recommended to anyone taking drivers ed. Read Less

Excel is a great school ! My in classes were enjoyable with Tibi. I am currently going on to my last in car with him and he's great. He covers every situation possible as best as he can, and it really does help. Tibi has showed me a lot of things I didn't know or experience before. Plus he's hilarious!
