I had 2 back-to-back courses with Nazifa Faizi which I wouldn’t have scheduled with her if there were other availabilities to choose from. I did not have a good experience with her last time I was given a class from her in 2022 and this week was no different. For starters, she is constantly hitting her break pedal for absolutely no reason. The first instance of this was when we were in a 50 zone that turned into 70kph. She was too busy eating her breakfast in the car to notice why I started accelerating. As I was going 65kph she hits her break and asks me why on earth I’m speeding. I said that we are now in a 70 zone which she questioned where I saw that. This happened within the first 15 minutes of a long 2 hour session. The next instance was when we heard a train coming and we were signalled to stop. I began to slow down to be able to come to a full stop, but Nazifa hit the break for me when we were 10 metres away from the line. We were not in eminent danger whatsoever therefore this was becoming extremely frustrating. The third instance was when she was having me practice reverse parking. She was hitting her break every few seconds instead of allowing me to competently park myself. After the second parking attempt, I finally asked her why she kept breaking for me. I then asked her “How do you want me to learn if you keep doing it for me?” She did not seem to like this but for the rest of the course she did not micromanage my driving. Throughout the session she did not talk to me about driving at all; she gave me zero information on road signs, she did not ask me questions or talk about my surroundings, and she would only tell me when to turn last minute. The majority of the car ride was quiet. Finally, I had made one mistake while we were driving in a 50 zone. When she asked me to change lanes, I accidentally turned my steering wheel a bit towards the left while checking my blindspot on the right. She responded with a condescending tone, telling me to never do that again (I’m literally here to learn how to drive). At the end of the session, she expressed how I “scared” her and that she was really unhappy with me in that moment. In my opinion, if a student driver “scares” you or makes you feel unsafe this easily, you are not in the right profession. I do not recommend this driving instructor if you are looking to learn how to drive. Read Less
