Ridiculous!!!! My son tested positive for COVID on the Easter weekend, he tried to contact the school to cancel his practical sessions but the location was closed the Sunday and Monday and he couldn't reach them despite trying and leaving a message on their website. When he finally reached them on Tuesday the day of his classes, they told him he didn't provide 48 hours notice so they charged him a penalty of $70 for his two classes. Regardless of whether they are open or not, COVID doesn't give you a 48 hour warning so the school is clearly taking advantage of the situation. So essentially he should have just attended and put the instructor at risk to avoid a penalty? I will even report this to the Consumer Protection Board as I'm sure that are breaching a law. I’ve been trying to get my license for more than 14 months now and they still tell me they are booked all the time for in-car sessions. I can only speak english, and even though they knew that, they referred me to french drivers. After i complained from the first session, she told me she can get a me someone who can teach me better but the second teacher was no different than the first one. And finally when my class got canceled nobody called me to let me know, so i spent 3 hours of transportation just so know i had no class that day. I let them know that i will never go there again.
