Genuinely terrible experience. I wish I could give 0 stars. The driving instructor that I had would use his phone during my lessons, which is not only extremely unsafe, but illegal. He would scroll on tiktok and instagram reels, which is beyond unacceptable. During one of my lessons, he even had me drive during rush hour to Parc-Ex, to pick up and drop off his son, from one job to the other, then got mad at me because I didn't run a red light, since he was pressed for time. The staff was also difficult to deal with. They screwed up my appointment at another time, and had me show up an hour early to my driving lesson. One of my friends, had the same thing happen to her, where she showed up for an appointment, (which they had no record of), and wasted her time because she showed up for nothing. Overall, poor organizational skills. Rather than slowly easing you into driving on the actual road, they just throw the student into the driver's seat, and expect them to know what to do. When approaching difficult situations while driving, there was no prior explanation as to how to navigate it. Here is an example: One time during a lesson, I was at an intersection, waiting to make a left turn. Now, any decent instructor would tell their student: "You must ease into the intersection keeping your wheels facing straight ahead and wait for a clear gap in oncoming traffic to complete the turn. You must obtain a clear view of the oncoming traffic lane, and ensure that there are no pedestrians before committing to the turn. If the light turns yellow or red, then the oncoming traffic will stop and you need to make the turn since you are already inside the intersection" INSTEAD. This is what happened: I was waiting behind the crosswalk (not in the intersection), and when the light turned red, I didn't go because I didn't know what I was allowed to. He was upset that I didn't already know what to do, and only after I was holding up traffic, he said that I can make the left turn on the red light. Had he been paying proper attention to the road (and stayed off his phone), he could have (and should have, because I was still learning), anticipated what would happen and easily guided me through that. The main thing that I am upset about, was that I had to learn a lot of stuff on the road, even after I was done with my in car lessons, because there was a lot that they never taught me how to do. Fundamental skills in driving, such as merging onto the highway and parallel parking, were things that I had to learn by myself. They never even instructed me to look at my rearview mirror regularly to know what's going on behind me. Avoid this place. You're literally just paying for the document saying that you completed the required courses and road lessons. However, most of your road knowledge will come from practicing with a parent, or when you drive independently. Luckily, I was able to learn how to drive from my parents, but I seriously worry about how many people they're putting onto the road with their awful guidance.
