Caoimhghín is fairly reliable and punctual for the most part, and lessons generally ran on time. Communicating over messages to organise and plan lessons was also straightforward and easy. However, I found that he lacked patience in certain situations, particularly when I was unsure or nervous while driving. There were times when I asked simple questions, such as which lane I should be in, and instead of receiving guidance, I was met with silence or visible frustration, such as him putting his head in his hands. As a learner driver, moments like this can be extremely stressful, especially when you are already feeling vulnerable and trying to focus safely on the road. I understand that instructors may become frustrated with questions that seem obvious from an experienced driver’s perspective, but learners rely on calm and clear guidance to build confidence and drive safely. In situations where a student is uncertain, a lack of communication can increase stress and potentially create unsafe conditions on the road.
