I was out with Paul Boylan from Park School of Motoring for a two-hour lesson yesterday (22/05/2026) and I can honestly say he is the best instructor I have come across. Everything he explains just sticks in your head. He has a great way of teaching that makes things easy to understand and remember, even the parts I previously struggled with. Paul is patient, clear, and excellent at explaining things properly without overcomplicating them. I have had lessons with a few instructors and he is without a doubt the top instructor I have met. His wife Margaret is also excellent at organising and sorting out the bookings, very helpful and professional. I would definitely do more lessons with Paul again. The only reason I may hold back is because driving lesson prices nationwide have become very expensive, but if I do continue lessons it would absolutely be with Paul and Park School of Motoring Dublin. I really can not begin to describe how grateful I am to Paul. I had a severe phobia of driving including tears and panic attacks for over a year with my car collecting dust in my drive way. This was until I met Paul. He doesn’t teach you a curriculum he teaches you to be a competent driver. He tailors the lessons to your specific needs taking his time and going into great detail. He was the only person to pick up that where my vision was focusing was wrong which was causing me great distress. I can confidently say that without Paul I wouldn’t be on the road. I passed my test first time after doing my lessons with Paul, and I can’t recommend or thank him enough. I had a lot of anxiety around driving after a bad experience with a different instructor, and there’s no way I would be able to drive without him. Paul is just incredible at listening and understanding different learning styles, tailoring your lessons around how you learn best. He doesn’t just teach you to pass your test - he teaches you how to drive, and be confident at it too. Paul knows exactly what it means to be a good driver and is clearly passionate about passing that on to his students. Words can’t really properly describe how amazing he is at his job. Whether you’ve been too scared to learn how to drive, had a bad experience, if you think you’re not capable or afraid you’ll never be able to drive, or even if you’ve been driving for a while and just need a little boost, Paul is the man for you!!
