Tom was absolutely brilliant! He was incredibly patient and so helpful throughout my lessons. His explanations were always clear and easy to understand, which really boosted my confidence and helped me feel more comfortable driving. I'm delighted to say I passed my test first time, and I couldn't have done it without his excellent guidance! I would highly recommend Tom to anyone starting out driving! 👏

"I can’t recommend Tom O’Dowd School of Motoring highly enough! Tom is an incredible instructor who turned what I thought would be a stressful experience into something I actually looked forward to. He is incredibly patient, calm, and has a way of explaining complex rules of the road so they just 'click.' Thanks to his expert guidance and encouragement, I passed my test with confidence. I had a great experience learning with Tom. He was patient, professional, and explained everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence on the road. I always felt calm and supported during lessons. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic driving instructor.

Tom was a fantastic instructor and I really could not have passed my driving test without him. He was able to tell me about crucial areas to watch out for such as my position on the road.
His good humour and stories helped me to remember these areas. His phrases also helped me to navigate difficult junctions, ‘ look out for traffic as if you were a ball boy at Wimbledon with your head moving both sides.’
Tom has great knowledge of Carrick on Shannon and is very familiar with the driving conditions ( speed limits etc. ) and what testers are looking for. Tom is really exceptional and it was great to learn from him.

I passed my test today all thanks to the excellent, friendly, funny and sympathetic teaching skills of my tutor Tom O Dowd. I have to say l cannot express enough how much Tom made the whole experience quite fun and enjoyable. If you are a nervous type and get worked up easy enough, doing your lessons with this guy is the natural/ homeopathic equivalent to approximately 2 valium. Highly recommended!

Tom was a fantastic instructor and I really could not have passed my driving test without him. He was able to tell me about crucial areas to watch out for such as my position on the road.
