If there was ever a man most suited to his job, it's most definitely Richard Ryder at DDAI. From start to finish, he was professional, welcoming, respectful, patient and very clear throughout. He is excellent at his job with communication skills second to none, a real people person. A family member had a diagnosis which required an annual DDAI driving assessment in recent years. This is not an easy job with a proud elderly person! Richard handled this situation with respect and sensitivity and with a warm sense of humour. That's a balancing act right there! We are grateful to him for his consistent professional service. Thank You Richard! Read Less

The Disabled Drivers Association ireland in my 30yrs actually today may 20th 1995 since my 65ft fall i sustained spinal injuries and and left hand injury was so badly damaged it was to be amputated but after 14 surgeries I have enough power in my fingers to use the steering wheel ball and hand controls so being a paraphelegic and needing a Disabled parking badge i never had any problems with The DDAi and their new way is fabulous that when you apply for a new badge you can hold onto your old badge until you receive your new card and a prepaid envelope is also given to of course send back your old out of date badge which saves having to get your old card photocopied. So all I can say is anyone I ever spoke to by phone in DDAI were always so helpful. And exactly 1 week from sending in my renewal form I received my new badge which is very fast and excellent so keep up the great work everyone and I never once had a problem by any staff member over the phone. And I feel so at ease knowing I have a fresh up to date badge please god for the next 2 year. Again thank you all so much. Read Less

The actual human staff are phenomenal and very knowledgeable in all areas. However!! The portal is one of the worst pieces of programming I've ever had the misfortune of coming across. A far simpler version would surely be easier to execute than the over complicated way it currently exists. Completely unacceptable in 2024. I'd happily give 5 stars if it's improved . Until then it'll be a single. Staff are 5 stars everyday of the week though :) Read Less
