Couldn’t recommend the place more. Did my IBT with Paul. Never stood next to a bike prior to this, but he made it all easy, both explaining and when needed, demonstrating the manoeuvres. As well as that he was very accommodating around my schedule, and my first ride around the city with him was both educational and filled with banter.

Highly Recommended – Paddy Russell Driving Instructors
I cannot recommend Paddy Russell and all of the driving instructors enough. They do an absolutely fantastic job, taking complete beginners from zero experience to fully competent drivers.
I had no experience whatsoever when I started, and in just a few short weeks I was more than ready for my driving test. I’m happy to say I passed – all thanks to these guys!
You can leave any doubts behind – you are truly in the hands of absolute professionals. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

I had a pre test with Paul yesterday and couldn’t recommend him highly enough. He was extremely helpful , knowledgeable and even took the time to reply to my messages this morning before my test with advice and reassurance. Prior to my test he also sent me some bits to print out to ensure I was ready. Happy to say I’ve passed first time and it’s genuinely down to Paul’s guidance and knowledge. Thanks again Paul!

I Was struggling to get a spot for my IBT down here in Cork so tried the Preferential Safety team in Waterford (sure it is only 90 minutes down the road) and it turned out to be a good decision.
From the initial engagement Paul was great. Very responsive as far as getting initial information across and getting dates in the calendar. As I was eager to get moving , fitted me in on a weekend just 10 days out.
Training ground is just on the outskirts of Waterford City. Good setup for the theory training, well explained and some anecdotes+ stories thrown in to keep it relateable and interesting. Finishing the theory I felt confident on my knowledge of the rules of the road (I have been driving the car for 20+ yrs so this was grand) and also Bike safety, hazards and maintenance.
Got to the fun part on the bikes and again, I felt the training and direction provided was top drawer. Some time in the yard on the 125 repeating basic and safety manoeuvres , then onto the bigger one for some time before the heading out.
I completed the course and it was a very positive experience, I came out of there a hell of a lot more confident than when I went in so 5 stars from me. Paul is a great instructor and a gent, his delivery style really worked for me. I didn't have to worry about getting gear because they have it there and it was all included in the price (which was very reasonable as I had shopped around).
100% will be doing my pre test and advanced lessons with Paul when the time comes around. I would recommend anyone in Munsters giving the guys a shout if your goal is to get on the road on 2 wheels.

Attended an off road driving instructor course with Preferential Safety . Their approach was extremely professional but also so enjoyable. The power point and information given, was of the highest standard ,delivered by the lads . But was the practical side were it all came together . To see how when driven within the vehicles and driver capabilities. How difficult and at times impossible looking terrain was overcome. Fantastic people to deal with .
