John is amazing! He is an experienced instructor who is also very professional and patient. I recommend John to my friends who also have teenagers. I had a driving lesson with Ian Yong, however, the entire lesson felt uncomfortable. He claims that "I’m friendly, patient, and relatable. I know there is no single approach that works for everyone. Lesson plans will be tailored to suit your learning style and needs. I will create a positive, safe, and fun learning environment where you will be able to relax and enjoy your lesson." but it did certainly not feel like a positive learning environment. I felt as if I was being shamed and he sighed in annoyance multiple times when I was trying my best to learn. I asked him about when to do blind checks which he proceeded to just get irritated and said "only when you're parking" and said there were no blind spots. This become a critical error in my test as I had listened to Ian and trusted him but didn't know the importance of blind checks when turning into flush medians. On our course, there were multiple instances where we had to cross the middle line which I was unsure about signalling, but Ian did not comment on that and this also become an error on my driving test. Please do not take lessons with him, the entire lesson felt as if AA is only trying to profit off learning students and make them book more lessons. Read Less
