I was extremely disappointed by what I witnessed yesterday morning. I was driving behind one of your instructors in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and he was on his cellphone for virtually the entire time. His distraction was obvious. He was driving so slowly that multiple vehicles kept moving into the gap in front of him, causing unnecessary delays for everyone behind him. I had to hoot several times just to get his attention so he would move forward with the flow of traffic. This is particularly concerning because this person is responsible for teaching new drivers. What message does it send to learners when the instructor himself is using a cellphone while driving? Distracted driving is dangerous, regardless of the speed of traffic, and instructors should be modelling safe, attentive driving habits at all times. I sincerely hope this incident is addressed.
