General Info
I retired from Hertfordshire Constabulary after 30years service. I was a Police Constable and then a Sergeant on the Road Policing Unit gaining 23 years experience of dealing with the causes and the subsequent consequences of serious and fatal collisions across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. I have attended many schools, delivering road safety advice and working closely alongside the various Road Safety Units. I have also featured in the BBC Traffic Cops TV series. The move into driving instruction is a natural progression, allowing me to share the knowledge and experience that I have gained whilst being a Traffic Police Officer; my ultimate aim being to promote 'safe driving for life.'

I passed my driving test yesterday on my first try with Links Driving School, and I’m honestly so pleased. I’d had some driving experience before starting with LDS, but I was always really anxious on the road. That changed pretty quickly once I started lessons with Neil.
Neil is a fantastic instructor. He’s patient, calm, and explains things in a way that actually makes sense. He never made me feel silly for getting something wrong and always took the time to talk things through until I felt confident. The atmosphere in the car was relaxed, and I could feel myself improving every week.
What I appreciated most is that you can tell he really cares about his students doing well. He doesn’t rush you and he genuinely wants you to feel ready. Thanks to Neil, I went into my test feeling prepared instead of nervous, and passing first time says it all. I’m really grateful for all his help.

I began my lessons a year ago and I was very nervous to learn. I just passed first time with only 3 minors. Neil did an amazing job at building my confidence while driving and not only taught me to drive but taught me to drive safely.
I highly recommend having Neil as your instructor as my boyfriend recommended him to me from when he learnt and passed first time too with only 4 minors.

Had a really interesting and informative time with Neil, on a private trailer training session for a few hours. Covering hitchin and unhitching the trailer to the car, loading and security, driving along various types of road, and reversing with trailer. It has given me confidence to be able to manoeuvre and park a trailer. Using Neil's tools to help understand what is happening with the trailer and how it will react, made it possible to gain that confidence. Would heartily recommend Neil if you need to learn about driving with a trailer/caravan.

From the very beginning Neil has been fantastic; always professional, supportive, informative and patient*. I've really enjoyed all of my lessons and have learnt so much. I haven't just been taught me how to pass my test, I've been taught me how to be a good and safe driver for life and I will be forever grateful for that. I will recommend Neil to everyone!

My experience of Neil at Links has been exceptional. He wants you to pass and training is geared towards a positive outcome. Also if you search online for training video's about the B+E test, Links driving school are by far the best and adhere to the DVLA rules.

Being a driver of the highest standard Neil is best placed to get students up to the level needed to pass their test and then set them off on their journey to life-long learning behind the wheel. Neil was recommended to me by my wife who had a lesson with him and actually came home capable of reversing her horse trailer!!! Although I was able to reverse a trailer, I needed to take the test and can honestly say I would never have passed without Neil's tuition. He is a nice, friendly man whose help I couldn't have done without! I passed first time which is fantastic although I am apparently now a full time groom for my wife! Thank you Neil, will recommend you at every opportunity.

I passed my driving test yesterday on my first try with Links Driving School, and I’m honestly so pleased. I’d had some driving experience before starting with LDS, but I was always really anxious on the road. That changed pretty quickly once I started lessons with Neil.
Neil is a fantastic instructor. He’s patient, calm, and explains things in a way that actually makes sense. I began my lessons a year ago and I was very nervous to learn. I just passed first time with only 3 minors. Neil did an amazing job at building my confidence while driving and not only taught me to drive but taught me to drive safely.
I highly recommend having Neil as your instructor as my boyfriend recommended him to me from when he learnt and passed first time too with only 4 minors.

Had a really interesting and informative time with Neil, on a private trailer training session for a few hours.
