Would highly recommend Simon for driving lessons, passed first time. Was amazing, really kind, calm, patient and supporting. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without him! Couldn’t recommend him enough...
Would highly recommend Simon for driving lessons, passed first time. Was amazing, really kind, calm, patient and supporting. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without him! Couldn’t recommend him enough. :) Book Simon!!

Simon has taught both my children to drive safely and I would highly recommend him.
He goes above and beyond to give his students the opportunity to experience a whole host of driving situations, not just driving the test routes.
This is what my daughter (Passed first time June 2026) had to say. "Simon made me feel very welcome when I started to learn how to drive. He was patient, calm and created a fun environment in which I wasn’t scared to make a mistake. He didn’t just teach me to pass my test, but gave me the necessary skills to go out and drive safely once I had passed."

Simon was a fantastic instructor. He is very relaxed and calm which made the whole process seamless! He has a great depth of knowledge and delivers it in a very easy to understand way. I would recommend him to anyone that is learning to drive as he somehow managed to get me through my test today with no faults!

Truly exceptional driving instructor. Always went the 'extra mile' to ensure safe driving for life not just to pass the driving test. Patient, kind, knowledgeable, skilful and an instructor with a sense of humour; if these are the qualities you're looking for in a driving instructor then I'd recommend Simon Russell.

Simon is an absolutely fantastic instructor. From day one he was friendly and encouraging (and has a great sense of humour!) and doesn't push you past your comfort zones. He has a great teaching technique and provides support whenever you need it. His relaxed but skillful approach to driving and teaching meant that I passed first time with only a few minors - I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

From the first day, Simon makes you feel comfortable and tailors learning to drive at your own pace. With his huge amount of experience combined with his friendly personality he makes learning to drive a fab experience. What really impressed me was also his down to earth character and blend of providing the right balance of encouragement and learner led evaluation which helped no end. I have and would recommend him to anyone! Thanks!
*** I PASSED 1st TIME with only 2 minors which is testament to Simon Russell School of Motoring!!!

Truly exceptional driving instructor. Always went the 'extra mile' to ensure safe driving for life not just to pass the driving test. Patient, kind, knowledgeable, skilful and an instructor with a sense of humour; if these are the qualities you're looking for in a driving instructor then I'd recommend Simon Russell.
