100% Would not recommend John. He aggressively shouts when a mistake is made and makes driving very stressful. He made many inappropriate references and made me very uncomfortable. John lacked patience and consistently joked saying he would punish me because I’m a teenager and he hates them. Think he’s in the wrong area of work if he hates teenagers. Do not take lessons from this man, I have had friends who have been back in tears from his lessons due to him constantly raising his voice.

Awful. Rather than offering constructive feedback, John had zero patience and shouted at me for every mistake without explaining what I was doing wrong, which only increased my level of stress further...
Awful. Rather than offering constructive feedback, John had zero patience and shouted at me for every mistake without explaining what I was doing wrong, which only increased my level of stress further. The stress made it even harder to focus and drive properly, so I felt like I wasn’t learning at all. I dreaded my lessons and even felt on the verge of tears on multiple occasions. To add to that, he made some inappropriate comments that made me feel really uncomfortable. In the end I had to switch to a different instructor. I absolutely do not recommend John

I was taught by John for a year. I ended up switching to a different instructor. John didn’t teach me how to use the clutch control properly until my 10th lesson. his teaching skills were slow and below average. Nearly every time I made a mistake he shouted at full volume. The worse the mistake the louder he shouted. It made learning to drive very stressful and difficult. I did ask John not to shout at me however it was only peaceful for one lesson. I do not recommend learning to drive with John unless you have no where else to go.

I was taught by John for a year. I ended up switching to a different instructor.
