The trade name 'Uplands School of Motoring' was established in 1984.
The objective of this driving school is and always has been to teach people to drive using the defensive driving method.
This method of teaching starts with control over the clutch/gears/steering/ forward planning and lots of common sense, consideration for other road users, including pedestrians and animals.
Preparing students for the challenges of driving on modern roads with modern up to date vehicles.

I had such a great experience learning to drive with David. He is very patient, friendly, and always explains everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence on the roads as well as understanding how cars work. Each lesson was well organised, and i always felt supported, even when i made mistakes. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive!!

Excellent experience with my instructor Nash, he is a spot on! He was very patient, calm and informative. He provided every detail to pass the test, and most importantly, he took me to the possibility routes, and provided me with tips and advices on how to avoid driving faults. Nash is a great example of a professional teacher as well as being friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

I couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor. From my very first lesson, they were patient, supportive, and always made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. Their clear explanations and calm approach helped build my confidence and improve my driving skills quickly.
Thanks to Craig’s excellent teaching methods and encouragement, I felt fully prepared for my driving test and passed with confidence.
I would highly recommend Craig to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and friendly driving instructor. Thank you for all your help and guidance!

Had my first lesson with Luke and he is an excellent instructor. He was able to do my first lesson at very short notice and overall was a brilliant lesson! Would definitely recommend !
