I passed some time ago but had lessons with Mike for a long time while studying in Falmouth so wanted to write a review. He is clearly an experienced instructor however I feel pretty ripped off all in all. I started from ground zero but it wasn’t until I had spent well over £1400 until we had gotten to even basic obstructions. I felt no urgency or awareness from him for me to progress. Mabey it’s because he was so busy, I can’t say for sure but this was the situation. I was a student who completely self funded my lessons and therefore couldn’t just keep forking out £400 lesson blocks without even feeling like I was progressing. It didn’t hit me until I had another instructor who instantly had me starting on more difficult manoeuvres and roads and was shocked when I explained how much I paid and they had assessed the level I was driving at. He’s thorough but needs to be more conscious of some people’s (especially students as Falmouth is full of them) situation and really try to help and accommodate them passing their theory progressing them to a real test much quicker. I recently passed my driving test with only two minor faults, and I’d like to thank Mike for his support throughout the process. I started learning in a manual car and later switched to automatic, and Mike was patient and committed throughout my journey. He was always focused on safety, made sure I understood key driving principles, and provided consistent guidance during lessons. His professional approach and experience helped me build the skills and confidence needed to pass the test.
