John McKinley, he is a great instructor, and very friendly, I had 20 hours lesson with him and I passed the test for the first attempt. He is very patient, and his knowledge is great. He always explains everything before I learn a new manoeuvre and make sure I do it correctly. I think that he not only guide me to pass the test but also the driving mindset when I am on the road, how to read the signs, anticipate the situations that might happen to avoid the dangerous unnecessarily on the road. So I finally decided last year to take the plunge and do my driving. I was assigned to Jason Robb from acclaim he is such a talented driving instructor with such a pleasent way. It was like my friend teaching me instead of a instructor who made you nervous. Totally professional and pleasant five stars isnt enough. Recommended highly To anyone who is nervous or simply afraid of taking the challenge of being on the road. Drove for the first time 10 days before passing my test. Obviously I have no baseline on what other instructors are like but Graham's, an instructor from accliam, professionalism and methods of teaching make me feel like he's one of the best instructors around. Passed my test today 1st attempt after a 7 day intensive driving course with Jan Dodson, i went from struggling with simply changing gears to feeling confident driving on carriageways, manoeveurs and roundabouts. I had a driving instructor from Acclaim. He kept changing our times at last minute, often an hour before our actual time of the driving lesson. Would never let me do actual driving until I got it "perfect", often complained about his love life. Kept letting me down so much that he offered a free lesson ! At the end with my journey of acclaim, he yelled at my mistakes and asked if i had a memory problem. Cheek! I had been doing lessons with Acclaim now for about 4 months with Anthony. He was a good intructor and encouraged me to stay maunel instead of my previous lessons in an automatic. I struggled with gears before but he seemed to be good at teaching me them. I am a lone parent with a child with special needs and to do my driving lesson at times I had to go accross to my mums house in a taxi which costs me 17 over and back again, he never had the decency to tell me he wasnt coming, He never showed up which has left me confused. I tried phoning him but he had his mobile switched off. I dont understand as he told me last week that im ready for test and we just had 2 more manouvers to cover. I never thought for a second he would do this. I guess i will never know why he decided to just cut me off completly. i will never take lessons with Acclaim again, very unproffessional and not even so much as an an apology, i will definatly make people aware to never take lessons with yous Read Less

First instructor cancelled 3 out of 5 lessons. Second didn't respond to phone calls to arrange followup lessons. Third tried to charge me for a lesson that was already paid for. Unbelievable. I'm still out a lesson but I can't deal with them anymore, it's too frustrating. I give up. Read Less
