He was extremely professional, friendly and supported me every step of the way, progressing at the speed I was comfortable with. I couldn't have hoped for a better driving instructor than Ian, he has been fantastic. If you're looking for a driving instructor who is patient, supportive and honest, I 100% recommend Ian. I have always found it difficult dealing with my anxiety and confidence, particularly behind the wheel. Highly recommended professional instructor for both new starters and those picking driving back up. Ian helped me get back into driving after I gave up learning because of bad experiences with past instructors. Ian is a fantastic instructor, providing a relaxing and comfortable environment in which to learn with confidence and ease. This was something I appreciated and valued highly, as I was initially nervous about learning to drive. Ian is supportive in catering his teaching towards the specific needs of each individual student, and understands that everybody learns things differently. As such, he has a range of skills and teaching techniques, and his explanations are always clear and full. He also welcomes questions, and is very friendly and approachable, enabling him to build a report with his students which in turn aids the learning process tremendously, proving an enjoyable experience for both student and teacher alike. In addition, he is flexible both in terms of scheduling – I frequently had two lessons a week with him at any time during the day – and location – covering areas such as Ilkeston and Heanor, as well as Langley Mill. Ian has been a fantastic instructor, his calm and friendly attitude instantly puts you at ease from the moment you sit in the car. He explains everything to you in a nice clear way and lets you learn in a way that suits you. He brings out your confidence so much its hard to not feel good about learning.
