I can't think of any other driving school than Mark Jordan Driving School as my choice of school to learn driving with, not because I haven't been with any other driving school, but because I can't think of any reason why I would choose anyone else - and it's all thanks to my amazing instructor Richard Wall. I'm the type of person to get nervous very easily because of my habit of overthinking everything, however Richard from the start has made me feel more comfortable behind the wheel than I thought I could ever be. Without Richard, I don't think there would be another person who could replace his patient, understanding and caring attitude, and his reassurance in doubtful or stressful times has made me believe that I can in fact drive, really well even. Every time I was unsure on something I wasn't afraid to ask Richard about it, and when I did he'd always go through my concerns with me in a clear and helpful way that made me understand; like if I needed help understanding a scenario on a roundabout, Richard was happy to give demonstrations on his iPad to help me clearly understand and visualise the scenario and then afterwards giving it a go whilst actually driving, and this really helped with building my confidence and knowing I'm prepared to do the right thing. I also appreciate Richard's effort in observing what I could do in the next lessons to further improve on my driving, as most of the time I wasn't fully sure what I wanted to do next, and even at times he would push me to do something trickier because he believed that I had the potential to go further. Richard's attention to my abilities made me believe that after every lesson I would've been taught something new that is valuable, even later on when I've already learned everything there is to learn and all that was left was practice. I can't thank Richard enough for his efforts, and after having many great conversations and lessons for the past many months I'll forever remember him as the legend who helped me pass first time with no faults - something I believed would never ever happen to me. The main reason I chose this driving school was its excellent reputation, high pass rates, and positive reviews, as I wanted to learn with an instructor who was patient, supportive, and experienced. Other important factors included flexible lesson times, reasonable prices, and a friendly learning environment. Learning to drive was challenging at times, but it was much more enjoyable than I expected, and my confidence grew with every lesson. My instructor, Mark , was fantastic throughout the whole process. Their teaching methods were clear, patient, and tailored to my pace, which made me feel comfortable asking questions and helped me build confidence behind the wheel. I would definitely recommend this driving school to others because of the professional and encouraging approach. They say that sometimes bad things have to happen before good things can. However, none of that is true for my driving lessons with Richard Wall at Mark Jordan Driving School. And for this I have no one to thank more than my instructor, Richard. I believe Richard to be the quintessential driving instructor, his calm and positive presence are a must have in an instructor. To put it simply, Richard was the most spectacular instrcutor a new driver could ask for. In particular, i believe Richard's teaching style to be a great factor in this belief, as even during tense moments, he is always able to keep as calm a mood as one can have after stalling at the same round-about 5 different times, and is always able to lighten the mood with a joke, as well as providing support without feeling judgemental or condescending, even during the worst of moments. Mark Jordan Driving School and Richard were chosen as my sister had also used them previously, and had nothing less than terrific things to say about Richard. I did not have to consider particularly important factors for me as a learner prior to lessons, however im sure that if i had any, Richard would have ticked every box. What else can i say about Richard Wall that has not already been said about the likes of Albert Einstein, Mozart or William Shakespeare. Prior to my First lesson, I would say that i was likely slightly less worried than most, but whatever anxiousness i did have was immediately quashed by Richard. He easily breaks down ideas that seem complex for new drivers into smaller more managable bites and is great at explaining techniques and road layouts through a mix of Ipad diagrams and explanations. He adapts to students own levels of skill and confidence, but always gives them final say in what they want. This balance allowed me to be pushed further without feeling stressed, as i knew if i began to struggle, Richard would be able to help. Even after just 1 lesson, I felt confident and safe enough to drive home, with Richard talking me through each step of the way. I would greatly recommend lessons that last 2 hours, as it leaves plently of time for understanding new ideas, practicing and becoming confident in them in a single lesson. After only a few months of work and about a month of waiting for my test, I successfully passed first time with only 3 minor faults. For this I would greatly recommend Richard and Mark Jordan Driving School as a whole (but specifically Richard). Read Less
