Giving two stars since I can't comment on the quality of the teaching, just my experience as a parent paying for lessons. We went for a local independent driving instructor as we thought we would have a better experience than with a driving school. Ruth's communication with us was poor. After the initial setup we paid up front for a block of lessons then once these ran out we again paid for another block. She then continued booking lessons with our 17 year old son and only mentioned to him that we were £400 pounds in debt at the end of a lesson, no communication with us. We had already decided not to continue lessons with Ruth so we were just looking to use up our pre paid lessons. We decided to stop lessons with Ruth as she booked in a two hour lesson with my son on a Sunday morning. Long story short he slept through the beginning of the lesson. Ruth text him to let him know she was outside our house then left after 15 minutes. She changed us the full price for a two hour lesson -£100. While I understand she is within her right to do this she could have called him or walked the 10 metres and knocked on our door. I feel we would have received better service from a driving school.
