I do not leave one-star reviews lightly, but this experience fully warrants it. I contacted Martin to arrange driving lessons for my son. We agreed the proposed days and times via email, and I clearly confirmed we were ready to proceed and pay for either a 10-hour or 20-hour block booking. From any reasonable standpoint, the slot was agreed in principle and we were committed. Martin was scheduled to call at 4pm to finalise arrangements. He later rescheduled for the following day. When he eventually called, it was later than arranged and I missed it. I returned the call within three minutes — three minutes — and it was not answered. Forty minutes later, I received an email informing me that the slot had been given to someone else. Reallocating a confirmed lesson slot over a single missed call, returned almost immediately, shows a complete lack of flexibility, professionalism, and basic customer service. There was no attempt to resolve the situation, no courtesy follow-up, and no reasonable grace period. If this is how enquiries are handled before lessons even begin, I am relieved this happened now rather than later. Martin has been truly excellent from the start, I suffer with anxiety and straight away I was put at ease and would say to anyone who is nervous to speak to this guy. His easy to understand instructions from parallel park to reverse parking and general driving helped me a lot and overcome my fears on the roads . Martin is truly a first class instructor. A fantastic instructor, always patient, always punctual. He’s always on the end of the phone should I have a question. He never failed to make me feel relaxed and always provided a good environment to learn. I passed both my theory and practical test first time whilst learning with Martin and highly recommend him to anyone will listen!
