Jim has been the driving instructor for both my boys now, spent 17 hours with my youngest son and got him through his test, fantastic instructor, patient and direct, absolutely would recommend.

I had the pleasure of booking Jim for my driving lessons a little while ago. It consisted of me booking my test date and location, castle douglas, which was then followed by several sessions of intensive lessons of multiple hours each.
My final lessons were in the hours immediately before my test (same day!).
Jim was very thorough and worked well within my learning style, which is to just do it, discuss it, then try again.
Jim was good fun, very relaxed, very enthusiastic and i was also able to borrow his car for my test.
I passed with 2 minors.
great guy and i recommend him to everyone i know wanting to learn.

Jim is a brilliant driving instructor. I'd booked a 20 hour intensive driving course with him after previously driving around 15 hours a few months ago with another instructor. I was nervous about driving in Dumfries as I don't know the area at all, but Jim always made me feel at ease and I soon became a more confident driver. I didn't think I'd be able to pass my driving test in one week with my previous experience, but after having lessons every day between Monday and Friday, I took my test and passed it comfortably! Cannot praise Jim enough for his help. Definitely highly recommended.

Never thought i would be able to pass but did with just 27 lessons jim is easy going and helps you in anything your not sure on i would highly recommend booking with him

I had the pleasure of booking Jim for my driving lessons a little while ago. It consisted of me booking my test date and location, castle douglas, which was then followed by several sessions of intensive lessons of multiple hours each.

Jim is a brilliant driving instructor. I'd booked a 20 hour intensive driving course with him after previously driving around 15 hours a few months ago with another instructor. I was nervous about driving in Dumfries as I don't know the area at all, but Jim always made me feel at ease and I soon became a more confident driver. I didn't think I'd be able to pass my driving test in one week with my previous experience, but after having lessons every day between Monday and Friday, I took my test and passed it comfortably!
