What an ewtremely poor ADI. Earlier today, parking/ waiting on a taxi rank at Railway Station! At one point even reversing back to allow a taxi to enter the rank. The Highway Code, rule 240 states that you MUST NOT stop or park on, amongst others, taxi bays as indicated by upright signs and markings, both of which are clearly on display. This behaviour clearly breaches the Road Traffic Act, and not only can result in a fine, but also could attract endorsable points. Very poor judgement and unprofessional from an ADI who takes payment for lessons which should allow potential pupils to obey the law, especially in a highly marked learning vehicle. What does that tell the pupil? Also, if a DSA examiner witnessed that,then im sure, a spot grade check may have resulted. There is no excuse for poor behaviour by an ADI, especially when there is a public car park at other side of the train station. Unfortunately, that instructor let the profession down quite badly!
