I would highly recommend Ray Wallace, without reservation. After nearly a decade of learning to drive on and off again, and several failed tests largely due to nerves, I was looking for an instructor who could not just teach me the skills that’d grown rusty over the pandemic, but inspire me to feel confident in myself and my abilities. I got in touch with Ray who was polite, patient, and reliable from day one without exception. Despite his hugely busy schedule he assessed my experience after our first drive together and managed to accommodate lessons nearly every week for me, around my hectic calendar. Ray is great at explaining things in different ways, and won’t stop until you understand and are confident. He holds you as a student (and himself as an instructor) to high standards so that the driving test feels comparatively easier when you face it I was frequently passing mock tests with him with zero driving faults (AKA minors). After over a decade of learning to drive and finding both driving and the test hugely anxiety-inducing, I’m so grateful to Ray who stuck with me and finally gave me confidence in myself as a driver that I needed to pass the test. I felt that he was personally invested in my success, passionate but professional, and it’s thanks to him that I was able to close a ten-year journey with pride in myself and the result I had craved for so long. I have been driving for long time else where yet, i have learnt a lot of good driving techniques from Ray. This was my journey to have a UK driving license and Ray has helped me all along the way to pass my test in the first attempt; that too with only few lessons. Prior to learning with Ray, I had quite a negative experience with a previous instructor. Ray helped to rebuild my confidence and I started to enjoy driving again. Ultimately, I passed first time and I have been driving alone ever since. I can only think that "Happytrash" is jealous or another driving instructor who needs work to have written such a pack of lies. My daughter is having lessons with "Wallace Driving Academy" and she finds the instructor polite and very knowledgeable and is progressing well. I checked before signing my daughter up to a course of lessons and found out this driving school has a pass rate above the national average and also offers a range of discounts . so I would strongly recommend you at least give them a try.Read Less

I had been with 3/4 driving schools before I rang 'wallace driving academy' and had spent alot more than I had first expected, when I rang this company and had a lesson the next day, I had a 2 hour lesson to start with, my instructor told me how many hours I would most probably need and within the next 2 lessons he told me to book my test and said we would do lessons up to my test, sure enough i had my test 5 weeks later and had 5 lessons between that time, my instructor was very patient and knew exactly what they were doing, I passed my test first time with this company and only had 3 minors!!!! highly recommend them, brilliant. :) they are also very well priced and they even picked me up from a place of my choice (within reason :') ) big thankyou to my instructor!!!!!!
