I passed first time! Bob is probably the best teacher I have ever had, in anything. He is very calm and kind. He is clear with his instructions and is very patient. He never made me doubt my abilities and always understood what I was struggling with and helped bring confidence to my driving. Clear, cheerful and all around fantastic instructor. Was patient as I ironed out bad habits! Bob is excellent at visualizing and explaining manouvers and road layouts simply and effectively, as well as reassuring you if you inevitably encounter any scary situations on the road. Thanks to him I passed first time. I would highly recommend Bob without a doubt, especially to nervous or anxious beginners. Other than his skills as an instructor, he has a great sense of humour and it is easy to get along and have a banter with him if you're ever feeling nervous or overwhelmed. Bob is a fantastic driving instructor and great fun to work with! I always felt very relaxed and at ease when being taught by Bob, something that hadn't been present with my too previous instructors. Bob has very simple but very effective methods for all the manoeuvres that are required, they became much less daunting than before! There a lot of driving instructors to choose from in the Stroud area but I am hoping my review can help you take the hassle out of searching for a great one. I have just recently passed my driving test with Bob and I am actually a little sad that the learning experience is over. Aside, from the learner car being an amazing car to learn and drive in, Bob is a great instructor and makes you feel at ease from the first lesson on-wards. He is a friendly, patient instructor with a great sense of humor and great teaching style that can help you learn the complexities of driving and how to drive safely. I started out feeling really nervous of the road but with the help of Bob I feel so much more confident about driving. I would recommend Bob Waters as a driving instructor without hesitation. He was able to take my very nervous 17 year old daughter and make a confident driver who past her test first time. The lessons started slowly building her knowledge and skills at her own pace, but Bob was able to build her confidence quickly and was always positive.
