Elgin is an excellent instructor.
It was my very first driving lesson, but he taught me patiently and explained everything in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Thanks to his supportive teaching style, I looked forward to every lesson each week.
I truly appreciate his kindness, professionalism, and encouragement. I highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.

Elgin is an excellent driving instructor - patient, encouraging and very clear in the way he teaches.
I hadn’t driven for 20 years and wanted to get back behind the wheel. I initially tried another instructor, but found the experience discouraging. Then I found Elgin, and the difference was immediately clear.
He is excellent at teaching the moment-to-moment skills of driving, but also the broader mindset behind good driving - anticipating what might happen, thinking ahead and always having a plan.
With his help, I soon found myself driving smoothly and confidently again.
When my wife decided to learn to drive, I recommended Elgin without hesitation, and she has had a great experience with him too.
I would highly recommend Elgin to new drivers, people returning to driving after a long break, or anyone who wants to become a safer, more capable and more confident driver.

As an adult learner who had a not so great experience of previous instructors when I was younger I was a little nervous however from the first lesson Elgin has been amazing, very patient, honest and knowledgeable and made me feel so at ease!
Elgin is reliable and professional and has never cancelled, been late etc.
I passed first time and I know that was down to Els teaching - I would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of taking lessons!

From the very first lesson with Elgin, he was friendly and welcoming, which immediately helped put me at ease. As a nervous driver, I was worried about feeling overwhelmed, but his calm and patient approach made all the difference.
He explained everything clearly, never rushed me, and always stayed professional and patient while still being warm and encouraging. Even when I made mistakes, he handled it in such a reassuring way that I was able to learn without feeling embarrassed or stressed.
Thanks to Elgin's guidance and support, I feel so much more confident behind the wheel. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and would highly recommend him to anyone—especially if you’re feeling anxious about driving.

I am absolutely thrilled to share that I passed my driving test earlier today on my very first attempt, with only two minor faults!
At 42, with a full-time job and a teenage son and family responsibilities; learning to drive felt like a huge commitment, but my instructor El was incredibly supportive and adaptable. He truly understood the challenges of a mature learner and tailored the lessons perfectly.
His teaching style was exceptionally patient, calm, clear, and highly professional, which was essential for building my confidence. I felt thoroughly prepared for the test, and the low number of minors is a testament to the quality of his instruction.
Thank you, EL's Driving School, for helping me achieve this massive goal. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, patient, and successful driving instructor.

Elgin rearranged his schedule to suit an exam I'd booked at very short notice. I've driven for 10 years in another country, but Elgin was a fantastic instructor, helped me sharpen up and pass with zero mistakes in the exam.
Would highly recommend him to new and old drivers alike!

Totally recommended! Always turned up on time, professional and meticulous - had a different instructor before but it was a much better experience this time (and crucially I passed!). He is also very friendly and a great teacher! Will work on your bad habits and you'll see much improved driving - driving skills that will actually stay with you beyond passing the test. First rate!

Elgin is an excellent instructor.
It was my very first driving lesson, but he taught me patiently and explained everything in a clear and easy-to-understand way. Thanks to his supportive teaching style, I looked forward to every lesson each week.

Elgin is an excellent driving instructor - patient, encouraging and very clear in the way he teaches.
I hadn’t driven for 20 years and wanted to get back behind the wheel. I initially tried another instructor, but found the experience discouraging. Then I found Elgin, and the difference was immediately clear.

Totally recommended! Always turned up on time, professional and meticulous - had a different instructor before but it was a much better experience this time (and crucially I passed!).
