I passed my driving test with 0 MINORS at Mitcham with Salim. I am so so grateful for all the support he gave me. I was consistently working hard but he was always teaching me. He was very very patient and motivating and I could not have prayed for a better instructor. If there was an option to give ten stars, I would. Salim is literally the best! 100% recommend.

Passed today first time thanks to my amazing driving instructor, Saba! A wonderful experience learning to drive with HHDS. Saba was such a kind, patient and reassuring instructor. Who took my confidence from 0-100 in a short amount of time. Driving did not come natural to me at all and my nerves were always so high but Saba really helped me through this. I can’t recommend this instructor and company enough! Anyone hoping to learn in South London would be lucky to get Saba as an instructor.

Today, I passed my manual driving test on my first attempt, and I would like to say a huge thank you to Mo for everything he has done for me.
Mo is not only a fantastic driving instructor but also a genuinely great person. I had a driving licence from my home country, but I hadn't driven for years and had never driven in the UK. When I started lessons with him, I lacked confidence and had developed many bad driving habits. In many ways, it was more challenging to correct those habits than to teach a complete beginner.
Thanks to Mo's well-structured, detailed, and professional lessons, I have become a much safer and more confident driver. He doesn't just teach you how to pass your test; he teaches you how to be a good driver for life. He constantly encouraged me, built my confidence, and helped me improve every aspect of my driving.
Despite my unpredictable work schedule, Mo was always flexible and did his best to find lesson times that worked for me. You can genuinely see how much he cares about his students and how committed he is to helping them succeed.
Once again, thank you, Mo, for all the time, effort, and support you invested in helping me pass my driving test. I couldn't have done it without you, and I highly recommend you to anyone looking for a driving instructor.

Absolutely thrilled to say I passed first time with only two minor faults, all thanks to my amazing driving instructor, Harish!
From day one, Harish was patient, encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every lesson was well structured and tailored to help me improve my confidence and driving skills. He always made sure I got the most out of each session and explained everything clearly, which made such a difference.
I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and would highly recommend Harish to anyone learning to drive. Thank you again for all your support and guidance!

I can't rate my experience with Herne hill driving school highly enough. Having had terrible experiences with another well known driving school, I made the decision to give HHDS a go. Right from the off Sarah was very courteous and quick to reply. First off I had Johan as an instructor who was a great calming influence and really helped progress my driving, correcting a lot of bad habits I'd picked up from previous instructors. Due to the dvsa cancelling my test and Johan being away, I got back in touch to find another instructor. Again the response was very quick and I was left in the hands of Mo. He again took my driving to another level, making me feel very confident heading into my test. Whilst the idea of 3 hour lessons seemed a bit daunting at first, they absolutely flew by and were the most fun I've had driving to date. He's especially good at explaining what's gone wrong and how to fix it. All whilst being incredibly chilled about it. I couldn't have hoped for two better instructors. If only I'd have gone straight to HHDS first time round. I would've passed my test much sooner.

Ravi was the best driving instructor I could ever hope for. He is very patient and even tempered, and really effective at communicating - he is also a true conscientious professional who takes his work seriously and clearly gets great gratification out of your learning and progress. He pushes you until you reach your potential because he believes you can. He is very funny and honestly there is never a dull moment with him. After completing a handful of lesson a few years ago without having the opportunity to complete my theory/practical, I decided it was time to get back behind the wheel and get my driving license. After calling a handful of various driving companies around the Balham area, I came across Herne Hill Driving School; as a school they are efficient and communicative. Fortunately, Harish was assigned as my Driving instructor. He is patient, diligent and presents a very calm and relax atmosphere. His methodical approach, along with his kind and fair nature make him an excellent driving instructor. A testament to this is that I passed first time, within a few months of starting with him and with only 4 minors!!! Harish, thanks for helping me get my license!!!Daniel

I had Harish as my instructor. He has a useful step-by-step method of explaining things, which made my driving lessons very easy. Can't forget the jokes/analogies of driving with other day-to-day activities :) which also made this a fun experience. Although I began with the impression that the rules in London are relatively complex, Harish's patient approach quickly gave me the confidence in navigation.He made sure all my lessons/manoeuvres were covered well in time so I could get sufficient practice, enabling me clear my test in the first attempt. Must also appreciate his punctuality and discipline with timing across all the lessons.Highly recommended!

Having not been behind the wheel of a car for nearly 18 years, I thought it was about time to actually do my driving test. Peter was my instructor and he was brilliant. He was calm and very thorough throughout and I was more than well prepared for my test. He even managed to make me undo all the bad habits I had slipped into when I used to drive. I can't recommend Peter and Herne Hill driving school enough. Thanks!

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have passed, but couldn't of done it without the patience and guidance of Harrish. When ive ever freaked out or beaten myself up and not nailing a manoeuvre, his reassurance and looking at different ways I can improve allowed me to keep on going. Calm even when I'm not I've referred several people to him, even some that are scared to get in a vehicle because not only am I sure, he'll help them pass. But more importantly pass as good, safesrivers!

I would *very highly* recommend Peter as a driving instructor. He was always friendly, prompt, and professional, and went WAY above and beyond after I missed a test time because the DVLA changed it by 40 minutes and I didn't see their email. Of course I was super bummed to have just lit those £62 on fire, but when we got back to my place I was floored when Peter said 'don't worry about this, just give me something for petrol'. I definitely wouldn't expect this but it gives you a sense of who you're dealing with. A+

Having two previous instructors and a year gap before driving, I can say without a doubt that I am glad I contacted this school, and be assigned to the best instructor I've had, Lance Spencer. Lance is a patient, experienced and delightful instructor, and he has given me the confidence to drive on the road safely, as well as passing my practical exam. Lance Spencer is an absolutely first-class driving instructor! I was an anxious driver who had previously suffered some bad experiences on the road as a result of poor instruction and Lance, with much patience, fixed my abilities and I passed first time on December 22nd! I'm extremely grateful to him. Be aware that there is (of course) a fee for the test day itself. An excellent and very thorough instructor that I would recommend to everyone.

Just had my 3rd 2 hour lesson with Lyndon and I'm so happy, I used to have heart palpitations at the thought of even getting behind the wheel, no joke it used to make me feel physically sick , thankfully I picked up the courage to book my first lesson, and my god I'm glad I did! I had nothing to worry about and felt safe and at ease with Lyndon! He reassured me that his job was to not only teach me to drive but to ensure I was safe. Each week I look forward to my next lesson, I now have to be as enthusiastic about learning the theory side of it!! I am 36 by the way ... so not the youngest of learners, plus a mum of 2 , so processing info isn't my strongest point, Lyndon is extremely patient, which really put me at ease.

Passed first time! Lance Spencer without any doubt is an excellent driving instructor, I started my driving lessons over two years ago with two other instructors which went really bad, they taught me all the incorrect information and made me feel really uncomfortable. Luckily Lance was recommended by a family member and within a couple of months he turned really bad driving skills and bad habits into really smooth and polished driving. Lance took time with me, helped me work ...on my bad points and made lessons really fun yet very productive. He made me feel comfortable and had faith in me which was needed indeed as when I started driving with him I lacked so much confidence and skill. Lance doesn't just teach you how to drive he teaches you how to things properly and how to be a safe road user. Lance Spencer was my driving instructor, and I can honestly say, the man deserves a medal. I started my driving journey when I was 17, I had a couple of lessons somewhere else and then gave up because it terrified me. Ten years on I decided to take the plunge, again. I am so lucky I found Herne Hill driving school and Lance! As a very nervous driver, I needed someone that would be patient, understanding and push me into believing that driving doesn't have to be scary and that...'s exactly what he did. I passed my test on my first attempt today and I couldn't have done it without him. I know that the skills Lance teaches his pupils are for life, not just to get you through your test. I had Lancelot Spencer(Herne Hill Driving School) as my driving instructor recently. He is very professional, experienced, accommodating, patient, knowledgeable and intelligent driving instructor. I have had some lessons with different instructors but Lance is exceptional. I passed my practical driving test with him the first on the 13/07/16. One magic about him is that, Lance will equip you and make you confident ready for the exam. I will recommend him and herne hill driving school to anyone who wants to be a courageous driver. I passed with Lance Spencer! He took me on as a weak driver and through our lessons helped me into developing into a very confident one! He pushes you until you reach your potential because he believes you can. He is very funny and honestly there is never a dull moment with him. He is firm, but very fair and an excellent driving instructor!

After completing a handful of lesson a few years ago without having the opportunity to complete my theory/practical, I decided it was time to get back behind the wheel and get my driving license. After calling a handful of various driving companies around the Balham area, I came across Herne Hill Driving School; as a school they are efficient and communicative. Fortunately, Harish was assigned as my Driving instructor. He is patient, diligent and presents a very calm and relax atmosphere. His methodical approach, along with his kind and fair nature make him an excellent driving instructor. A testament to this is that I passed first time, within a few months of starting with him and with only 4 minors!!! Harish, thanks for helping me get my license!!!Daniel

He communicated everything extremely well to me and thanks to him I was able to pass my test first time. I had Harish as my instructor. He has a useful step-by-step method of explaining things, which made my driving lessons very easy. Can't forget the jokes/analogies of driving with other day-to-day activities :) which also made this a fun experience. Although I began with the impression that the rules in London are relatively complex, Harish's patient approach quickly gave me the confidence in navigation.He made sure all my lessons/manoeuvres were covered well in time so I could get sufficient practice, enabling me clear my test in the first attempt. Must also appreciate his punctuality and discipline with timing across all the lessons.Highly recommended!

Having not been behind the wheel of a car for nearly 18 years, I thought it was about time to actually do my driving test. Peter was my instructor and he was brilliant. He was calm and very thorough throughout and I was more than well prepared for my test. He even managed to make me undo all the bad habits I had slipped into when I used to drive. I can't recommend Peter and Herne Hill driving school enough. Thanks!

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have passed, but couldn't of done it without the patience and guidance of Harrish. When ive ever freaked out or beaten myself up and not nailing a manoeuvre, his reassurance and looking at different ways I can improve allowed me to keep on going. Calm even when I'm not I've referred several people to him, even some that are scared to get in a vehicle because not only am I sure, he'll help them pass. But more importantly pass as good, safesrivers!

I would *very highly* recommend Peter as a driving instructor. He was always friendly, prompt, and professional, and went WAY above and beyond after I missed a test time because the DVLA changed it by 40 minutes and I didn't see their email. Of course I was super bummed to have just lit those £62 on fire, but when we got back to my place I was floored when Peter said 'don't worry about this, just give me something for petrol'. I definitely wouldn't expect this but it gives you a sense of who you're dealing with. A+

Lance Spencer is an absolutely first-class driving instructor! I was an anxious driver who had previously suffered some bad experiences on the road as a result of poor instruction and Lance, with much patience, fixed my abilities and I passed first time on December 22nd! I'm extremely grateful to him. Be aware that there is (of course) a fee for the test day itself. An excellent and very thorough instructor that I would recommend to everyone.

Just had my 3rd 2 hour lesson with Lyndon and I'm so happy, I used to have heart palpitations at the thought of even getting behind the wheel, no joke it used to make me feel physically sick , thankfully I picked up the courage to book my first lesson, and my god I'm glad I did! I had nothing to worry about and felt safe and at ease with Lyndon! He reassured me that his job was to not only teach me to drive but to ensure I was safe. Each week I look forward to my next lesson, I now have to be as enthusiastic about learning the theory side of it!! I am 36 by the way ... so not the youngest of learners, plus a mum of 2 , so processing info isn't my strongest point, Lyndon is extremely patient, which really put me at ease.

Passed first time! Lance Spencer without any doubt is an excellent driving instructor, I started my driving lessons over two years ago with two other instructors which went really bad, they taught me all the incorrect information and made me feel really uncomfortable. Luckily Lance was recommended by a family member and within a couple of months he turned really bad driving skills and bad habits into really smooth and polished driving. Lance took time with me, helped me work ...on my bad points and made lessons really fun yet very productive. He made me feel comfortable and had faith in me which was needed indeed as when I started driving with him I lacked so much confidence and skill. Lance doesn't just teach you how to drive he teaches you how to things properly and how to be a safe road user. I started my driving journey when I was 17, I had a couple of lessons somewhere else and then gave up because it terrified me. Ten years on I decided to take the plunge, again. I am so lucky I found Herne Hill driving school and Lance! As a very nervous driver, I needed someone that would be patient, understanding and push me into believing that driving doesn't have to be scary and that...'s exactly what he did. I passed my test on my first attempt today and I couldn't have done it without him. I know that the skills Lance teaches his pupils are for life, not just to get you through your test. I had Lancelot Spencer(Herne Hill Driving School) as my driving instructor recently. He is very professional, experienced, accommodating, patient, knowledgeable and intelligent driving instructor. I have had some lessons with different instructors but Lance is exceptional. I passed my practical driving test with him the first on the 13/07/16. One magic about him is that, Lance will equip you and make you confident ready for the exam. I will recommend him and herne hill driving school to anyone who wants to be a courageous driver.
