Today I have just passed my test... 1st time!!! I previously had 2 different instructors with 'MiDrive', the first didn't even tell me I had to get my theory test out of the way first, when he told me I had 2 hours left from 20 I didn't feel at all ready (a nice guy but I feel I wasted a lot of time/money). So I asked to go forward with a different one... he ended up being rude to my neighbour when she asked him not to teach on their private property (very embarrassing), he also made me feel unsure of most of my decisions, (he remarked that it was like I had a twin who turned up to some of the lessons, as some were good and others not) it felt like a lottery as to if what I did was right or wrong, it just ended up be unnecessarily stressful and I dreaded each and every lesson! So I asked on Nextdoor.co.uk for a recommendation in my neighbourhood! = Lorraine's Driving School And today I've passed my test first time with only 5 minor faults out of a possible 15. Lorraine has made me feel confident and able, and completely put my mind at ease. Also having Richard swap with her for some of the driving time was brilliant, to get a slightly different angle and mock test feel. I felt totally confident and ready before my test and would Highly recommend them. It's also it's true about their cars, they are up-to-date with a good amount of power so a pleasure to drive. Thanks to Lorraine and her partner Richard, I passed my test on the first try! They are both patient, supportive and very knowledgeable. After seeing me drive for a short time they knew exactly what I needed to work on to pass the test. They tailored my lessons to meet my needs and offered gentle feedback. Lorraine and Richard knew the test area well so they could take me on specific roads that I might encounter on the test. They kept me calm on my test day despite rain and traffic! If you want to pass first time like I did this is the place to go! They have the best cars, I was learning in a 2017 Convertible Audi A4, you will never see a different company with cars like theirs. Richard was my instructor and he is a top lad, very straightforward and knows what hes doing. Go with them you wont regret it:) Read Less
